Our Tesla was in the shop paid by insurance, so I can't comment on cost. They did a thorough job, the fact that the car rental place could pick us up there was great, they were experienced with the challenges of getting spare parts from Tesla and were up front about that and did their best to be accommodating. I recommend the place.

Quick turn around on providing an estimate. Great place to go if you aren't concerned about costs. Labor appeared inline with what would need to be done - parts were 20 times higher than after marker parts. Declined service and paid a considerable amount for the diagnosis. Likely do good work. Just not going to pay 20 times the cost for dealership provided parts.

Had a minor collision where the window was stuck open while on a road trip. I brought it to them and they fixed it on the spot for me. Excellent service and kind people!

I had body damage on our Tesla Model 3. Mike estimated it would get done at a reasonable price with a very short turnaround time! Their work is impeccable and their prices are more affordable than every other body shop I contacted. Highly recommend them!

I took my VW jetta to Autoworks after taking it to Maguires. Maguires told me it would take weeks and thousands of dollars to fix the horn not working. Within a few hours Autoworks called me and told me it was done, it was missing 2 fuses and 2 fuses in the wrong spot, unknown of who had messed with the fuses. Great service, and nice people.

It was fantastic! I got quotes from three auto body shops. One of them required an additional $1,000 for the fender part (the one starting with 'W'). I found out that the fender is only $500, and I don't need to buy a new one. It just needs to be repaired and painted. I'm totally satisfied with their service and price! Thanks a lot! Please avoid the auto body shop in Ithaca downtown.

Recently had my car repaired at Autoworks. Mike Lane, the body shop manager and his assistant manager were great to work with and put all of my worries at ease. In addition to completing the repairs, the team even buffed out some scratches on the front bumper that were not part of the claim. Highly recommend, thank you so much!

A+++. Brought my sons used VW in to have them look at the some suspension/steering components, which the local VW dealer said were breaking down, and needed to be repaired. Folks at Autoworks confirmed. Fine. But, then the big moment. Autoworks wrote up a quote for the repair that was <50% of what said local VW dealer wanted (if you're in Ithaca, you know who that is...). Sure, Autoworks didn't use OEM parts, but 9/10 times that's not worth paying more for (and that alone isn't the reason for the price difference). Moreover, Autoworks kept me informed each step of the way, did a thorough and careful job, and had the car back to me in a timely fashion. Couldn't have had a better experience.

With love and respect, I strongly wouldn’t recommend Autoworks. The customer service experience was awful. There are much better auto shop options in Ithaca, NY, including:1) Best Auto Repair2) Ithaca Auto Service3) Hunt’s Auto ServiceTo name just a few (there are so many more)…I had to take my car here because the other shops were booked and this shop essentially held my car hostage. If you need repairs then this should be your LAST option. I tried ignoring the negative reviews but some of it is absolutely accurate (they have a 3.5/5 which is not good compared to the other shops). I strongly and completely wouldn’t recommend it! Respectfully.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.I took a car for a pre-purchase inspection. After they looked at the car, they said that the engine required an additional inspection. All good there. The whole thing took 2 hours but they charged 2 hours and 30 minutes (around $40 more than I was supposed to pay). I asked why were they charging me extra and they told me that looking at the engine has a fixed price (when the clerk previously said that they charge by the hour). I already spent a lot of time waiting for the inspection so I decided to come back to work instead of argue. It sucks that you cannot trust people to be honest. Additionally, they didn't even realize that the speedometer wasn't working, something that I knew beforehand and I had to point out myself. What's the point of charging so much if you do not take the time to do the inspection correctly. I am very dissapointed.

Very Shady I Would Stay AwayThey wanted to charge my girlfriend $300 to replace one rear taillight bulb. $10 bulb. Job that doesn't even take 30 minutes. How do you get the rest in labor. Also tried to upsell repairs that was not needed. Look at all the one star reviews not a good place at all.

Autoworks has consistently provided excellent service for the multiple vehicles I've brought them. I've used both the body and auto shops and now exclusively use this place for all my vehicles. They back their work and address warranty or post-service issues without extra charges or bullcrap. They definitely surpass any shop I've encountered in all the states I've lived. Can't find a better place.

Unfortunately the staff that George hires isn't as professional as George is. Hes a good guy but a few of the staff are unbelievable. I think he tries to hire people that are lacking direction and give them a chance or something. I've had a few occasions that were not good and its all due to poor attitude, not poor service.
