This place is awesome and one of my favorite thrift shops to go to. The prices are great, the set up of the store is nice and the people that work there are very friendly. The one gentleman, I wish I knew his name, I think maybe tom but not positive, is so nice and helpful to all. If you’re looking for a local thrift to go to this is the one. Highly highly recommend.

Eclectic mix of stuff. Lots of Christmas decorations right now. Sometimes I make a great find, but often come away with nothing. Prices higher than most, but the quality is better.

This is one of the worst thrift stores on Long Island in that they take dollar store donations and charge buyers $2 or $5. I took a dollar store candle that was tagged $2 up to the counter and asked the lady to let the pricers know that poor people (many non-English speaking) are buying dollar store candles for $2 here - please evaluate your pricing; you’re not here to take from the poor you’re here to provide them a much needed service). The lady replied, “they don’t need to buy this. This isn’t a necessity - it’s a luxury.” A small, vanilla-scented, Dollar Tree candle is a luxury? How completely out of touch! (She’s thinking: “the poor shouldn’t be buying this...they should be buying bread and eggs...a candle is too luxurious for such dregs on our society) Of course, candles are a necessity during blackouts, storms or when people’s electricity is out. But she was too caught up in poor-shaming to recognize the humanity in needing a candle. I wanted to ask that woman why the heck she’d volunteer there of all of the great things a person could do to volunteer she shouldn’t be at a thrift shop or working with the poor bc she is obviously there to judge them. We need people with more compassion and empathy to work with our most vulnerable community members. This lady should be volunteering at a petting zoo! And the thrift really needs to reevaluate its pricing bc charging the poorest Long Islanders more than retail is robbery not community outreach!
