Seatuck is a group of caring, knowledgeable people working to maintain Long Island's natural beauty and wildlife. What's not to love about that?! There is a thread of authenticity that runs through each member of this group that binds them together to create a formidable force. I'm impressed with their selflessness, competence and most importantly, results! Please help them save our amazing island and its inhabitants [wild or otherwise!!].

Beautiful grounds. Very friendly staff. But the mosquitos are hungry. Dress accordingly and use bug spray.

Highly unprofessional, bordering on fanatical. I questioned whether playback was harmful to birds in a public forum (I personally do not use it) and was insulted by this group from their nonprofit Facebook page. It was very disturbing, to say the least. Every other response I received on the forum was positive and polite, only to be insulted by a fanatical environmental association.

Visit Date: May 14, 2020 I've been trying to visit different nature preserves and parks to hike in when I do my Thursday hiking now that I have more time to exercise with this whole virus. So I came here for a recent hike. Technically I snuck in here while it was still closed because I walked under the gate that was across the way you enter the property, but when I left I walked out of an exit that was in the woods around the property so technically I could have gotten on the property anyway. I didn't vandalize anything or cause a disruption so hopefully whoever reads this review won't try to arrest me for being on the premises in the morning while they were closed. Anyway I had a great time, I did almost two miles of hiking, I enjoyed all the nature, looked at the mansion, took a lot of pictures and had a good peaceful time while listening to my audiobook. I'd definitely come back here again. Long Island doesn't really have mountainous places to hike but the nature preserves and forest areas are pretty awesome in certain places. The environmental association is a place I'd recommend for hiking.

Nice little space to walk through on your way to the beach. There's a very easy loop trail with lots of boardwalk. They regularly host environmental and conservationist events. Proud to have this place in our town.

I enjoyed my time there. Was able to learn about some environmental issues and solutions for the Islip area. I also learned some Long Island history. The mansion is a historic building. Simply marvelous and amazing.
