I had the absolute worst experience with this company. The products are of poor quality that crack and warp. The customer service is terrible to nonexistent. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and go elsewhere.

Approximately September 2022 I hired Dave and his company to make me a relatively simple table for my boatFrom the start of the project up until now, it's been nothing but a nightmare Ever since I handed him the $2000 for the job, it was like I did not existThe first table he made was defective, cracked and peeled within one monthAfter calling and trying to get him to come back and redo the table, he finally took the table back and told me he would take care of itApproximately 10 months later, the following summer this summer, 2023 he showed up and installed the table and the person that installed it didn't even install it properlyEvery time I call Dave to explain to him, he needs to come back and install it properly. He gave me an excuse.After dealing with this improperly installed table for approximately three months, it started to warp and bendI contacted Dave, and this is where the huge fail beginsIt is now November 2023 and for over a year I still don't have a tableAfter calling him more than a dozen times, and getting a dozen different excuses ranging from he's at the drive-through of shake shack To being at a soccer game with his son telling me that someone in his office had a death in the family To a few days ago, telling me that his father passed away And many more.I have been patient calm and very professional throughout this entire year of dealing with this company. I can't say the same for them.He has called me a drug addict. He has criticized my marriage. He has told me to go fu*# myself. He has called me a pain in the ass. (All through text messages and on the phone )After threatening him with litigation, he sent me a text message, saying come to his shop and and I will give you a refund "" any amount of money is worth not having to deal with you anymore""I showed up at his shop on time with the table when I got there he gave me back my old table and told me to get the f*%k out you're not getting a refund "they shut the gas off at my house. Why would I have $2000 to hand you."He then proceeded to text me some bogus terms of agreement with his company that I've never seen before up until now the day I showed up to get a refundUnprofessional his workmanship, and Quality is the worst I've ever seen.Other people at my Marina that he's made tables for have nothing but trouble and can't get him to come back as well.If I would've read the reviews before using this company, I definitely would've made a different decisionHe is a mean and angry, and obviously very unhappyI am not sure how someone like this continues to stay in business he does not care about the consumer. He does not care about his reputation. He does not care about anything but collecting money, and then making excuse after excuseI have contacted my lawyer and he has begun the process of recovering my $$If you are reading this before hiring , you are very lucky I would think long and hard before giving this company and the owner Dave Any money, the amount of time and effort I have spent trying to get what I paid for is unbelievableDeserves no stars 0

The whole team here was great! I bought two slabs to build my own table and I bought a slab that they finished for me for a kitchen bar height table. It was an amazing experience working with them. I am what you would call a pain in the butt client. I am very particular, somewhat of a DIY'er, ask a ton of questions and really take pride in learning do something myself. All of which make me a nightmare to build something for as a contractor. They were patient and helped when I needed it and the finished table they made for me is GORGEOUS!Services: Custom wood millwork

Came out to 1of a Kind Live Edge Slabs to buy a slab of wood for my 15 year old 'wood n**** son. Dave, the owner, was very patient with all my son's questions, even when he inquired about a job. Dave showed us the different types of wood slabs he had and recommended a sturdy piece as a starter for his table. Dave even offered to plane it (shaving down the wood so it's smooth to the touch) with his machine which was very kind of him. We walked out of 1 of A Kind Live Edge Slabs a very happy family. Dealing with this company, especially the owner Dave was a complete NIGHTMARE. The worst experience I have ever had dealing with any purchase in my entire life by far. Using them was a huge mistake. I highly regret it. I originally came to them in March of 2022 and asked for a specific kind of dinner table. I asked Dave if he can make it. He told me “he can make any table”. He told me I would have my table in 3 months. I received a excuse after excuse for 8 months until the table finally arrived in DEFECTIVE condition. It was crooked and uneven to the point that as you ate on it, your plate would rock back and forth. It took about 2 months of arguing with him to get him to take the table back and fix it. Dave likes to scream, yell and curse at you when he doesn’t like what you are saying. He took the table back in about January or February of 2023. After leading me on for months, he finally told me that he cannot fix the old table and will make me a new one. He told me that the new one would be ready by the end of May 2023. I followed up with him in June 2023 and he began yelling and cursing and told me that “the table will be ready when its ready”. I cancelled my contract with him after almost a year and half of his abuse. I told him that I want a full refund or I will sue him for the money that he owes me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND that you get involved with this company.

It is with heavy heart that I have to edit my original review for this vendor. But, after a year of chasing them, it seems clear that they intend to not follow through on their commitment to fix my live edge table. Within 4 months of the delivery of the table, it was so uneven that it was uncomfortable to use and there was a large 18 inch crack emerging on one side that split the wood straight down the middle with a half inch gap. At first, they offered to repair it and I also bought another slab of wood and paid for it to show my goodwill as well. But then they went dark. They didn't return my emails or texts to schedule the appointment for the repair. I paid $250 for the additional wood slab and then never received it from them and then they never followed through on their commitment to fix the table, leaving it severely damaged despite having paid over $6k for it.The first two pics below are of the table when I first got it. The second four pics are of the table now. I'm gutted that they lied to me about repairing it and have intentionally avoided me after my initially glowing review. Sadly, I can't recommend this vendor any further as much as I loved them initially.I want to add to this review to address the feedback provided below. After I initially added to it, I suddenly got a flurry of responses from them. They were disorganized and frenzied to pick up the table suddenly without any professional attention to the requirements of my building and the need for insurance documents to be filled out properly. After substantial back and forth, the insurance was finally sorted. THen I received several requests to pick up the table the next day even though I made it clear that pickups needed to be scheduled in advance for my building to approve. Then I was told I'd need to give up my table for a month to be repaired. That was not a convenient solution. Therefore, I indicated that I would be happy to relinquish the table as soon as I next traveled, which would require them to commit to some planning and then a reasonable turnaround time. This has not happened. I got the sense that the only motive they have is to have 5 star reviews, which i initially provided. Meanwhile, my table is a mess. I hope this will be remedied soon. But I will caution that the process of coordination requires attention to explain repeatedly the importance of following building rules, at least if you live in a large building as I do.Services: Table construction & installation

Popped in with a general idea for some live edge shelves. Dave walked me through different slabs that would work, we talked about dimensions, and then he planed and squared ‘em up for me all within 30 minutes.Great service from someone who clearly has a passion for and expertise in woodworking. I’ll be recommending to anyone else who wants unique live edge furniture/projects.

The team does an amazing job. We’ve ordered 4 different pieces from them and all of them were really beautiful and one of a kind. The latest thing we got from them was a marble top table. It wasn’t their specialty but they went out of their way to put it all together for us. It took almost 8 months, but in the end it was so worth the wait. We had a table and a console designed by 1 of a Kind. The pieces are outstanding!! Everyone who comes over marvels at them. Dave and Isabel were delightful to work with. We have had our pieces for over a year and they look incredible. I know these are heirloom pieces and will be in the family forever.
