It’s with no pleasure that I write this review. I write out of a sense of obligation to prospective customers. We had been a customer of Happy Tails for several years. After various minor missteps, we ultimately gave them a printed list of the dos and don’ts for cutting our dog’s hair. It was all working out pretty well. About seven weeks ago, we took our dog in for an overdue haircut. We dropped him off and about an hour later got the text that he was ready to be picked up. We paid by check (they only accept checks or cash) and brought him home. He looked overly scruffy. When the whole family saw him, we determined, that he really hadn’t been cut at all. I then called and left the awkward message that we don’t think he had gotten his haircut. We got a call back to bring him back in and that indeed they had forgotten to give him his haircut. When we brought him back in we told the owner Barbara one thing: “Don’t overcompensate.” When I picked him up, I immediately shouted, “He looks awful! Have Barbara call me.” Seven weeks later he still looks as if he just got a haircut. And we never heard from her. This is not just about a bad haircut. They knew he had not originally gotten his haircut. Yet, they took our check and never contacted us. In essence, they had no problem accepting money for services not rendered. Then when they cut his hair so short that he has been shivering when the temperature dipped, they never called back. They never apologized. They never admitted their mistake. And they will never get my business again. I urge you to be wary of this business. Caveat emptor.

I cannot reccommend this groomer enough. THey are kind, careful, and expert. My Cavapoo always comes out looking happy and beautiful. I have had some disasterous experiences with pet grooming, (a former dog of mine was cut through the skin, and clearly traumatized,) so I am extremely grateful for Happy Tails. They are also very responsive to any requests or concerns. The owner is a lovely, honest, and bright woman.

Brought my dog Snickers in for a bath today. Could not have been happier. When you enter you know right away that there is a love for animals pervading the salon. Owners and dogs alike all seemed happy. Highly recommend

My dog was groomed here recently and we are looking forward to his next cut . My Wheaton terrier puppy had some mats in his coat and was reported to be uncooperative by his previous groomer . I am so happy we switched groomers - they worked with his personality, were caring and patient and gave him a great cut. Great place ! Barbara is so nice to work with.

Brought my dog twice for grooming and she came out very cute! However, trying to get an appointment is nearly impossible which is why I gave a low rating. I called about 5x and left 2 messages trying to schedule a grooming appointment over the past few weeks. No response or even a call back. It shouldn't be this hard to schedule an appointment! I will be taking my dog somewhere else instead.
