What a great store with something for everyone! The 2nd story gallery holds beautiful artwork and the rest is filled with treasures old and new. The staff is lovely and very helpful. Make sure to ask about the history of the building before you leave.

I always love stopping in here once or twice when I’m visiting Indian Lake. They have all kinds of local art, interesting and beautiful crafts, vintage and antique furniture, old and almost new books, glassware, ornaments, and candy to name a few. This time I picked up a couple of lovely cookie cutters: a loon and a butterfly packaged with matching recipe cards. They are gift-wrapped; the giftee is ME! I also got a lovely drawing of a fox that is actually etched into a large piece of fungus. You see what I mean about unique?

Abanakee Studios is one place I feel as if I am home when I walk through the door. I love this store. I have been going for years and our house is crammed with original art by Jane and books written by Kathy. It is always so exciting to go for the first time each summer to see where the ladies of the lake have traveled to stock their store. It is eclectic, funky and full of regional art work. There’s never a time I miss seeing this beautiful place and the beautiful women that own and run it. Thank you my lovely ladies of the lake! Heres to another summer!

We stopped in here to look at the paintings, but we didn't stop there. Don't get me wrong! The paintings were amazing. Paintings and prints of Adirondack scenes to cherish forever! Also, there are collectible glasses and beautiful new and used books. Lots of linens for the table, from embroidered runners to woven placemats and braided painted mats. So much to enjoy along with the very friendly proprietors! Don't miss this!
