Hendershot is as honest as they get. He turns around your car quickly and he doesn't overcharge based on my 10+ years using him. His guys are also great - and very honest. When my exhaust got a leak, they referred me to a cheap (and also honest) place to go. Every experience with Hendershot and people I've referred to him has ended positively. He's one of the good ones.

I called ahead asking if they could do an inspection, I was told yes if I am there in 10 minutes.I showed up and was told they don’t do inspections after 4 (I had called at 4:15).I showed up and was told I can’t get an inspection.Taking my business elsewhere and I recommend you do the same.

I wish I could give ZERO STARS!!! He put the wrong oil in my car and overcharged for the terrible service. Claims he would never put the wrong oil in a car but this is not the first time I've had an oil change with this car, at this merchant and I have NEVER been charged for this "special oil" so I think it's safe to say, either ths time or the last time, THE WRONG OIL WAS USED, Sir!!!! So make it make sense!!!!In response to my concern, he rudely says "well dont come here". I guess it's easy to lose customers when you are tearing their cars up. At the rate you're going, they wont even have running vehicles to need any service.

I needed a Emissions Inspection and called to get a price. He gave me a price for Safety and Emission, which was $37. I said I only needed the Emissions Inspection (which should cost less). He did not have any patience to explain cost and procedures differences and was very rude. He ended up saying "Don't come here". Just like that. What kind of business is this? I'm getting sick of this behavior, so common in many business in NY.

They put the incorrect oil in my car THEN charged my credit card DOUBLE the price. This guy is a DISHONEST SCAMMER. He told me to "try to dispute it" and if I dont like it "dont come back here"TRUST ME...I WONT!!!

How this guy stays in business is beyond me. I have been coming here for years to get oils changes, inspections, brakes done. I have never liked dealing with the owner because he is extremely rude. However I always went back because the guys who work there are extremely nice. Save your time money and energy and go elsewhere. I refuse to give him any more of my money.

So disappointed. The owner has never been very personable but I always came for oil changes and inspections. Pretty simple stuff. Always tipped the guys who did my work. The last time I went to change a lightbulb in my tail light my entire light assembly was removed and then they couldn't get it back in. And he said oh well, left it like that and got mad at ME when I nicely said this is really kinda not okay. Yelled at me out of frustration w the tail light and so I left. And yeah, so my light assembly is still messed up.

Lazy, rude, and trying to take advantage of a woman!I came to them because the handle lock on my door wouldn't open and looked a bit loose from the outside. Without properly taking a look at it, I was told that they need to order me a brand new handle. They said that it's completely broken inside.... But it wasn't!!! Took my car to another place where they took off inner panel and discovered that it was only 1 bolt missing from 1 of the screws. 1 bolt was the entire issue!!! It was a 2 minute fix!But these guys were too busy to check for the problem, even though they were completely empty in the middle of the day. The owner was very short with me and kept brushing off my request of really checking for the problem. He spoke with me like I was asking him to move a mountain instead of his job, and the so called "mechanics" were all too happy to sit and play with their phones. Definitely avoid this place if you need a mechanic.
