“We photograph weddings at the Fox Hollow multiple times per year and I would definitely recommend it to any engaged couple! They have unique ballrooms that are not typical or boring. They have stone fireplaces, huge windows and accent walls that all make for great picture spots! The hotel being next door is also a huge advantage :)”

“It's a good marriot. rooms are nice/clean updated. staff is helpful. the property is a little dated because of the age (more of an fyi did not impact the quality of my stay). They have a big open area with an indoor pool that kids were enjoying. Fitness room has more than the basics 5 treadmills, but 2 not working. My room faced the inside so a little dungeon like but I could have asked for one facing outside and didn't so that's on me. Good water pressure.”

“Clean room and hotel. The bed was the worst part…. So uncomfortable! I felt like I was sleeping on the floor! I honestly thought a Hilton hotel would have comfortable beds but this one most definitely did not!”

“This motel has everything you need. The rooms are nice, and I was happy to see a fridge in there. A microwave is available a short distance from your room. The bed was comfortable, and the bath area was nicely laid out, with the sink and vanity in a separate area. I would have preferred a bathtub but many motels and hotels are changing over to showers. Regardless, the shower was great. If you need a hairdryer, just ask at the desk and they'll give you one for the length of your stay. We are going to be coming here from now on when we visit LI. It's close to where my family lives and it's easy to get to places from here. The staff is great also. Don't expect breakfast here because there isn't really a breakfast per se, but if you want coffee, you can get some in the lobby. This place should be rated higher than it is.”

“This place was great: Indoor swimming pool; included breakfast buffet; and a nice large, comfortable "living room" of sorts to visit with family. Our room was comfortable and clean. My only complaint, which is not super valid, is that the water pressure was actually too strong, and water would back up in the tub while I showered. But this was a small inconvenience.”

“Because of work I'm normally checking in after the check in time. Lydia has always been cordial and made use feel welcomed. Greeting us with a warm smile as well as giving the quickest directions to the room! At first this was taken for granted because I figured it was just a hotel requirement. But I've checked in once with out Lydia and believe me there was a difference. She not only exudes hospitality but it is genuine. I def recommend this hotel WHEN SHE IS THERE.Ramona LRooms: Rooms were clean but I've come to expect those the added benefit was the warmness of the front desk staff (Lydia)”

“I lived on Long Island for 50 years and this hotel has always been a staple to the area. I even stayed here on my wedding night back in 2010. Now I live out of state so when I come back to visit family I stay here. This hotel is conveniently located to the LIE and Northern State Parkway which are the main thoroughfares across Long Island. There is free parking with a huge parking lot. The lobby was "updated" years ago with a huge bar area and an indoor/outdoor pool. There are many conference rooms and events that take place here including family reunions and weddings. There is no free breakfast, but a restaurant on site (Chinese food and Indian food I think- I didn't eat at the hotel). The room was just ok. It's kind of old and needs updating. Upon entry it felt damp even though the AC was on. The AC vent was situated on the wall and it was hard to maintain a comfortable temperature. It was either too cold or too warm. There was a rip in the carpet. The countertop of the nightstand was sticky so it was clear it wasn't cleaned. There were things in the bathroom that needed attention - the screws were loose on the towel rack so it hung off the wall, the faucet leaked making everything on the vanity wet, the shower faucet was loose too. Like I stated before, the rooms are old and could use a fresh coat of paint (especially for the price per night). We needed extra towels and the cleaning staff were quick to give us extras. One strange thing I discovered on the morning I was leaving was that the window was left open (we were on ground floor). It could only open about 6 in - 8 in due to a bar, but we never opened the window nor did we request staff to clean our room while we were staying there. So that probably happened when they were cleaning the room prior to our arrival, which could also explain the dampness in the room. Nothing was stolen from the room (the safe was broken and did not work) so that's a good thing. I was not greeted as a Hilton member upon check in like I am at other hotels. I think the next time we visit NY we will try the Marriott which is down the street and in the same price range.”

“It's mostly a place for temporary housing, there is no dish ware, utensils, and the bathroom faucet is leaking near the top of the sink. I visited Trader Joe's, and the Hicksville Memorial Library, and there were a long distance from the motel. I walked to both places.Rooms: On the whole it's a decent room, however there's a leaking faucet.Nearby activities: There are no nearby activities.Safety: I'm safe here, and they have a very secure system.Food & drinks: There are no meals served except, hot/cold cereal, coffee, and tea are provided by self service machines.”

“We were very pleased to see that the flooring in our room was wood and the room had been recently renovated/updated. I want to shout-out the amazing cleaning staff who came every single morning without fail during our extended stay to clean and mop the room thoroughly. Not a day went by that our room wasn’t cleaned well, linens refreshed, and new supplies left. We ended up having an unforeseen extension to our stay, and a male manager gave us a discount - unheard of for the 4th of July weekend! We felt truly cared for at this place. I hope they continue taking care of guests (and open their pool soon!)”

“Front desk staff were all friendly, check in was painless and my room (single queen size bed) was nice. The small kitchen was nice with a full size fridge, two oven burners, a microwave and sink. There is storage space in the kitchen and a dish towel. Housekeeping does not come during your stay which is communicated at check in - I prefer this. I need weekly accommodations as an employee who is onsite 3 days a week - I found my home away from home.”

“Excellent stay nice but old looking inside but your room was clean, very expensive ice machine didn't work they only have handicap room as big as that place is we we're told they would have a handicapped room the next morning and would call us it never happened when I called down I was told oh someone just rented it we were there 3 days over all it was a nice stay oh the one thing I appreciate more than anything I was feeling well not use to the cold I couldn't get warm I'm from Florida my husband went to the desk and asked if they had a heater because we couldn't get nothing but cold air conditioning it wouldn't change, they bought me a heater and put it by my bed that's what was Excellent cause I was so sick after a few hours I could sleep was got warm I stayed in bed all day. May God bless you I hope that helps I always pride myself on being fair telling like it is because like me your spending your hard earned money, this was an emergency trip lost my son who lived there after losing another son just 3 months before everything was money money I pray one I can go back there just to enjoy the city see some of the beautiful things they had to offer right now I need to get away again just to get my heart and mind together one when fund permits I would love I would stay at the same hotel because I felt they did care they tired to help me as I was going through so much I was broken. So go enjoy it's worth staying at, they even had a Dance off competition that weekend.Rooms: Excellent but expensiveNearby activities: I have no idea I was so there my son passed away that lived there never had a mind to do anything was taking care of his goingSafety: We felt very alright but I will say other visitors kept propping the door open to get in twice when we returned back to the hotel after hours in doors propped open not by the hotel staff but my other visitors which made all of us unsafe, once employees were notified we were told they would check the door on the back ASAP and they apologized for not catching it.Noteworthy details: I already covered these topics please thank you for reading my review”
