If zero stars were possible that’s what I would post. Referred to this practice by my orthopedist’s office for knee braces, I waited nine weeks before I finally cancelled the relationship. The orthotist was thorough and helpful at my first appointment for measurements, but it rapidly deteriorated after that. Multiple phone calls from me starting four weeks after the measurements to check on prior authorizations and progress were not helpful and resulted in misinformation, no reasonable answers, and at one point, actual lies. I was misquoted out-of-pocket expenses and told that additional documentation was needed from my physician on two occasions. They put that responsibility on the doctor, not their own lack of follow up. I could not speak to the person handling Medicare who turfed my calls to an individual who admitted they were not familiar with Medicare billing. My health care provider intervened after eight weeks and I received a call from the orthotist who assured me he would look into it and call me back. He never did. The “biller” continued to make excuses telling me at one point that my provider “changed the prescription to a less expensive brace”. Subsequent to ending this relationship I went to another orthotic provider who fitted me expertly, submitted the claim to Medicare, and sent me home with two knee braces in less than one hour. Perhaps my experience with Bay Orthopedics was highly unusual and a rare occurrence, but I would not recommend them at all. Their lack of customer support and competence is alarming.

Thank you Mark!!My wife has benefited greatly from the knee brace you helped us with today. We were beginning to loose hope as she was in so much pain. As you said she would begin healing with the stabilizing of the knee. And so it was. Almost immediately the discomfort started to fade. This will be the first night in quite some time that sleeping will be welcome. Dr Healey was right. Go see THE PEOPLE AT BAY!!!THANKS

Everyone experiences a health journey at one point in their lives and my personal story started by being admitted to the hospital in which I needed care on a neurological level. To my great fortune, Robert J. D'Arpino, a certified Orthotist at Bay Orthopedic located in Huntington Station, New York was able to fit me promptly for a shoe orthotic on location at the hospital so I could begin to have the proper nerve input for walking support and to begin healing from the neurological weakness. Mr. D'Arpino provided his contact and business card for a follow-up anytime. After I was discharged from the hospital, I noticed that the orthotic, as he predicted would need a readjustment, which is not unusual. Later, I did visit his business location and he was able to refine the fit of the shoe insert. He was personable, helpful, and demonstrated sincere care about my condition and improvement as a client. He took the time to make sure that I felt comfortable and that the orthotic was going to provide me with the support I needed so I could continue on my health journey to recovery.Thank you Robert D'Arpino and for your team in providing a service in the health and wellness field and making your clients your primary purpose for a positive trajectory of good health and outlook to return to a healthy lifestyle.

My son has a rare disorder called arthrogryposis. He requires full KAFOS to ambulate. When he was two years old, we had the made in New York City, which was really difficult to deal with when they broke. I got a referral for BAY so I made an appointment and we met Mike Eastwood for the first time. At one of our first meetings, he actually diagnosed my son three year old son's necrosis. He literally saved my son's feet. Fast forward 12 years later, and we are still working with Mike. Over the years, he has been there to help us with anything and everything for my son he mold, fixes, changes, suggest, and helps us whenever we need it. Weather during a regular appointment or last-minute emergency when something is broken, he ALWAYS found, and still finds time for us most recently, he met us for affects, and didn't tell me that he wasn't even scheduled to be at our location that day. I realized after. To say that my cares about his patience is a gross understatement. He has knowledgeable, capable, flexible, caring, a true professional, an expert in his field. We owe him so much, and would not have been able to navigate this very difficult road without him. He truly is the best!

The other reviews are right. Office staff shows no professionalism. Brace takes FOREVER to arrive. They give you a run around to the expected time and make multiple reasons for the delay. They are all lies because they are inconsistent with what was said and can't remember what they said at the different times. When they finally gave me an appointment, confirmed it, and then said it was never made and I had to reschedule. GO ELSEWHERE!

I could not be happier with Mike Eastwood! My son had ACL surgery and it seemed as if nothing was going the way we had anticipated. His brace that was ordered from another company was causing him nothing but problems.... It was suggested from my son's physical therapist to see Mike and he did not disappoint. He was amazing! He immediately took time out of his busy schedule to make sure he saw my son. He took his time with him, even took him outside to evaluate the problems the brace was causing. Mike resolved our issues and even followed up to make sure that everything was working out. I would highly recommend Mike Eastwood. He is a true professional who is truly in this profession for the right reasons.

Mike and the team at Bay Orthopedics have been great. We have used them not only for my daughter's scoliosis brace which has been vitally important in treating her scoliosis successfully but I have referred my physical therapy patients to them and have been happy with the services they have provided. I highly recommend Bay Orthopedics.

By far the worst customer service experience of my life. The gentleman who answered the phone was by far the rudest person I have EVER spoken to over the phone. I regret giving them my business.

The technician who worked on my brace was very helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. The office staff was another story. It took awhile for the brace to arrive at the facility. I received a phone call to come in and have the brace fitted. When I asked if they had the brace the person on the phone said "Of course we have it". When I went there it turns out it was not ordered in the first place. I did receive the brace yesterday and while I was waiting in the room I overheard the office staff talking about me. I heard comments like " Did you see the guy with the baseball jersey on he was dressed like a bum". On my way out of the building I heard some more nasty comments and chose to ignore them. Would have to think twice before I go back to them.

My AirCast equipment brought great comfort to my long and painful shoulder repair. I broke one and wore out components. The folks at Bay Orthopedics were kind and helpful in helping me find cost effective or free ways to remedy or repair the equipment. It was a pleasure to work with these people who went out of their way to help me. I am so grateful.
