I had some old faded blueprints that my architect wanted copies of. I think Staples scans & copies blueprints, but these blueprints were kind of old, and Staples means well but ... Anyway, I Googled around, and found Atlantic Blueprint. They scanned my blueprints & ran copies, and were able to boost the contrast. Way more legible than the originals! They'll also sell you your scan on a thumb drive. You might pay more than Staples, but look - sometimes you need professional quality, and that's what I got at ABP. But I have two quibbles. One, the parking. You can't (or, you're not supposed to) enter their parking lot from Pigeon Hill Rd - you can only get into the lot from Jericho Turnpike (and we all know how much of a pain Jericho Tpk is). Not their fault (they don't own the strip mall), but it's still somewhat annoying. Two, the signal. At least with my phone on Verizon, the cell signal was so weak, I couldn't e-mail a document I needed to print (this was a second visit). I had to drive down the road to the South Huntington library, and hop on their wifi. ABP didn't have their own wifi to use, b/c the guy said he "didn't set up the guest network". Huh? You're a business that handles digital files, and you don't have wifi? Fail. I mean, Verizon clearly has the bigger fail here (sigh), but still - get that wifi up, bub. Random tip: look at the brick house to the west of the strip mall. Check out the eagle done up in brickwork on the side of the house, and also the "Pioneer" logo, also done up in relief brickwork, on the side of the garage. Pretty cool, but why is that brickwork done facing the property line, overlooking a parking lot? LIFE'S LITTLE MYSTERIES
