The employees at Snowbird Ski Shop were sooooo friendly and so helpful. When there was a bunch of people in their shop, they made sure we were taken care of the second we walked in and again when we returned our ski equipment. Their dog Brooklyn was also a big hit and so adorable. Anytime we return to Hunter we will 100% rent from Snowbird !!!

Called to ask for prices on rental and the girl who picked up the phone was extremely rude. I asked what the total with tax was and she said 8% do the math. Super condescending and made it sound like I'm stupid. I'm not from NYC so of course I'm not familiar with the tax. Definitely not recommending this place to anyone.

This store has exceptional customer service the whole team is really trying to make your skiing experience amazing. I was Very happy that I rented from them I definitely recommend them on you next trip to Hunter

My experience in the store was great, the staff was friendly and very nice, it wasn't packed, price was decent, there was even a shop dog that was super cute. I had to deduct stars though because of the equipment (the most important part of the entire renting experience). I rented snowboard boots/board/helmet for ~$47 after taxes for janky gear. The boots were loosening up as I moved to the point where I couldn't do 1 full run down a green without having to tighten the boots MULTIPLE times. Literally had to tighten it after I hopped off the lift, after half way through, then again when I reached the bottom. I'm still a beginner at snowboarding and this loose boot made it very difficult for me to learn properly because I thought I was doing something wrong the entire time when I couldn't turn a certain way before I realized it was the boot.They should have done their due diligence in checking the equipment to make sure everything is working perfectly. I let them know that the boots were loosening up a lot on its own when I returned the gear, but I didn't get any apologies or anything. I would definitely recommend anyone renting here to double check (or ask them to) the gear before leaving for the mountain.

The owner was extremely accommodating and so sweet and helpful, made renting skis the easiest and fastest process ever ! Highly recommend you go here for your next rental! We were extremely happy with everything , from the equipment and the service . Very professional and knowledgeable ski shop

Overall great experience in the store! Stopped in to get my board sharpened and buy a few items before hitting hunting mountain. Staff was so friendly and the store had good stuff. Glad we found them!

10/10 experience. Quick, easy, informative & flexible. We arrived late on a busy weekend and they welcomed us in and helped us past close and even made us laugh. Will be our go to shop when we visit hunter. Thank you!!

I love snow bird!! Whenever my friends and I go up to Hunter we always rent from here. Make sure you get there early because there can be a long line sometimes. The owner Jerry is the absolute best. She is great with recommending equipment to best suit an individual. Snow Bird also has amazing service if something happens to your skis on the mountain. They are quick to come and make a fix/adjustment.- Brooklyn (the doggo) is the sweetest girl ever!! Give her lots of love if you see her.

Car broke down second day of our trip, called early in the morning and they said maybe they wouldn’t charge us for the day. (Which is policy not to charge) We got there 45 mins later and we were very rudely refused and told they will still charge us despite us returning the gear and not skiing!Rent from the mountain, they will help you out in a crisis! Not this shop who apparently does not care about customer relations!Way to go lady behind the counter, we will be telling all our ski friends not to rent from you. Sure, you got an extra day from us but we will never return to you nor will any of our friends.

This place is an actual nightmare. I waited in line outside and walked into this place at 8:50 am. It is now 10 am. I got my rentals at Killington and Deer Valley in literally 5 minutes. Like, the worst rental process on earth. Hoards of people and no line, and when people asked where the line was, the woman at the counter said, “Aruba,” and laughed. She said, “You try to get employees to work in America.” The woman at the front is so rude and is ridiculously unprofessional. And when people make genuine complaints, the two of them just laugh and say, “I teach middle schoolers, nothing can scare me.” They don’t take reservations and need to go digital. It would fix ALL of their issues. They do everything by freakin paper. Helmets picked over, no organization…oh my god I have anxiety just thinking about this place. As I said. GO ANYWHERE ELSE unless you want to start your ski day on a disaster note.

I had a group of college students for a school-funded trip and we got our rentals from here. The owner was extremely helpful with organizing the students' rentals for payment as this location is walk-in only and was honest about when we should arrive in order to get rentals. Great location to pick up rentals for Hunter Mountain and had great service. Also, amazing pricing for daily rentals.
