We worked with John Peterson from the Truss Group. We couldn't have asked for a better agent to work with for our first time home buyer experience. John's expertise of the Hudson valley, recommendations for local lenders and inspectors, and deep knowledge of the real estate market gave us piece of mind and confidence in our offers. John was easy to reach with a text or email and able to schedule showings quickly. When we did want to make an offer, John clearly explained all the different options we could make and helped us put our strongest offer on the table. We loved working with John and would highly recommend him to anyone looking at buying in the Hudson valley.

I got VERY lucky when John Peterson agreed to work with me. He has a great understanding of historic houses, and constantly impressed me by noticing 'old house issues' and having a clear sense of what it would take to fix them (both engineering-wise and financially). He understood what I was looking for, kept in close contact throughout the process, and made sure I didn't miss any interesting new listings that fit my criteria. I really felt like he was on my side every step of the way and had all the qualities you could possibly want in a realtor.John's communication and negotiation skills are excellent, and he was incredibly on-point while making sure to connect everyone on the buying team (mortgage/insurance people, lawyer, etc.) and keep us on track, all the way until the Closing. I knew I could count on his perspective and honesty, and he went way above and beyond the call of duty many times, even calling 9 home inspectors until he found one who could come out at the very last minute. That allowed us to meet a nearly impossible deadline.Besides his project management experience and construction knowledge, John is also a really great and trustworthy person. Going to see potential properties together was always very comfortable. John is open-minded, comfortable with all sorts of people, smart, and kind. He helped us navigate a very complicated situation effectively and I'm not sure another realtor would have been able to pull off this complicated sale. I'm recommending him to everyone I know!

Trevor Moran and his associates did an excellent job selling our mother's home in Catskill, NY…from helping us decide on a price, to marketing (his photos were outstanding!), to holding an open house and negotiating with potential buyers. The result was a good, quick, smooth sale to a wonderful young couple. I highly recommend Trevor and the Truss Group as buyer's or seller's agent, and will certainly seek his/their help when I am ready to sell my own home.

To sum it up in one word, Trevor was WONDERFUL! We had such a hard time looking for homes for over 6 months. We worked with over 6 agents prior and looked at a total of 117 homes. Trevor took all the stress off of us. He actually showed he cared. He found out and knew exactly what we wanted. He knew the area, which we were looking in and the entire experience was honest. You won’t find a better agent!
