I recently had the pleasure of staying at the St. Charles Hotel in Hudson, and I must say, my experience was nothing short of excellent. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere exuded warmth and hospitality. The manager, MD, went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests truly stood out.The accommodations were comfortable and luxurious, providing the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring the charming town of Hudson. The hotel's central location made it convenient to visit local attractions and dine at nearby restaurants.I cannot recommend the St. Charles Hotel enough to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Hudson. Thanks to MD and the wonderful staff, I am already looking forward to returning. This gem of a hotel has undoubtedly become my top choice whenever I visit Hudson again.So reasonableRooms: It's very clean

An experience that I had never had....??No one at reception and therefore wait 2 hours for check in since no one answered the numbers indicated on the counter!!!!!Other people passing through told us they had already experienced this mishap in this hotel...Breakfast is announced ready for 7:30 a.m. and in fact, they start preparing at 7:30 a.m. and therefore nothing is ready before 7:50 a.m. (and like that every morning...) and yet there was almost nothing to prepare because the p' tit dej amounts to almost nothing..... The irony: the fridge showed 66°F!! and the person did not even want to throw away the opened milk and other dairy products.Decent rooms but no TV was working and when we indicated to clean the room we found it in the same state in the evening...We therefore wonder if someone manages this hotel..(obviously No one for check out..)Absolutely avoid!!Rooms: TV broken all week, Housekeeping not doneSafety: No security since no one at receptionFood & drinks: Fridge at 66°F with dairy inside!!!Breakfast that consists of coffee..?

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the weekend. First we were not given the rooms we booked, we booked 6 rooms for an event we hold every year. We were told upon arrival that they tried to reach us several times, but there was nothing on our phones to show they did!! We were told we couldn’t have what we asked for cause the cleaning lady was out with COVID!!! So I guess there is only 1 person to clean the entire Hotel!! This is the second time we got a room where the Tv didn’t work, the first time the volume kept getting louder on its own and this time the remote didn’t work and there’s no buttons on tv to do anything. The manager told us he needed code for remote and would get it the next day, he did not and told us they were closed cause its was Sunday meanwhile it was Saturday and said he would take $20 off the bill??? We had to move rooms several times, room was filthy, when moved to a new room there was a door in the room with no lock. When asked they said it had a lock on other side and is ok cause whoever was on other side were ok??? So we ended up back in a disgustingly dirty room!!! There is NEVER anyone at the front desk and breakfast is not out when it’s suppose to be!! Very disappointed with this Hotel and will never stay here again!!!! I do not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

If you are a person of color do not stay at this hotel they are racist and rude to the core the staff has No customer service experience what so ever . They profile as soon as you walk through the door I was told by the guy at the counter that if he was there earlier when I checked in he would have never let me stay at his hotel .He then proceeded to provoke and antagonize me and recording my reaction to his disgusting behavior I have been told this how they treat African American guests who stay at their hotel and they even went as far as calling the police on me after the counter person insulted me over and over . Do not waste your hard earned money to stay here there are better places nearby.

Other than location, this hotel is by far the worst I've set my foot in. A 2-star hotel that charged us an unprecedented price that bordered with a broad daylight robbery. I showered there only to avert a tragedy where I slipped so badly as the floor was as slippery as it was sprayed with W-D 40 lubricant. I had to get innovative and spread a towel so I can complete showering.The sheets were coming off the matress for a sheer misfit of its size. The overall smell and audor were revolting and offensive. Upon complaining, we were met with the poorest customer service oriented approach. It was an experience we'd rather forget as if we were never there. Stay away from this horror show.Rooms: Smelly environment that is suitable for a 1 star hotel.

It's a cheap hotel at the end of Warren St. The room and lobby were dated, so it's not very glamorous. It's an old building. I'd stay again for the affordable, clean beds, and the staff were super friendly.Rooms: Modern bathroom. Large and spacious room. Clean bed. The walls could use some dusting and fresh paint.Nearby activities: Tons of great coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance.Walkability: Very walkable neighborhood. Hotel is a block off of Warren St, the main street of Hudson with lots of bars and shops.

Stear clear! I was anticipating a charming historic hotel but they have done a terrible job renovating. It has a cold dreary depressing vibe. Strange smell. After seeing my room I knew I couldn't stay there, tried to get a refund but after booking through hotels app and checking in I was stuck. Decided to cut my losses, room was almost $300! Certainly not worth the price. I just couldn't stay there.

I came here while on a bike packing trip up the Empire State Trail. I realised I wouldn’t be able to reach my campsite by nightfall and needed a place to stay. The owners at St Charles were kind enough to offer me a discount despite it being a Labour Day weekend. Furthermore they let me take my bike into my room and gave me some muffins to start the next day despite me needing to leave before breakfast was officially open. I can say that owners treated me very well that the hotel is within walking distance of lots of restaurants on Main Street. The hotel itself is simple and no frills, which is exactly what I was looking for. I’m happy I came by here.

My friends and i stayed at this hotel back in may and the service was awesome!! Khan and his wife were so polite, kind and amazing.The made our stay comfortable as possible. Khan even shared his chai tea with us:) We will definitely be going back because khan made our stay so pleasurable. Location was great we were a very short walk from warren street. if you are looking for clean, politeness and convivence then you must stay here.Walkability: easy walk

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights earlier this week and had a great experience. MD (the manager), could not have been nicer! Very accommodating and kind. Each time we passed through the lobby, he asked if there was anything he could do for us or anything we needed.This is an older hotel, but extremely clean and the beds (and bedding), are top notch. There were many choices for breakfast and the location was perfect for walking to all the shops and restaurants.We would most definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!Nearby activities: walkable to shops and stores

My girlfriend and I were celebrating an anniversary and needed somewhere to stay in the area for the night. The hotel was very reasonably priced for the area and was cheaper than most Airbnbs we could find. The owners were lovely and made sure we had everything that we needed. When we would come back from spending some time at local restaurants and exploring the area they would always ask if we needed anything. It’s clear that they care about the customer and their experience. The room was clean and spacious and there were plenty of breakfast options available as well. I will definitely be staying here again!

We stayed here for wedding we were attending nearby. The hotel was filled with wedding guests. The rate for Saturday night was over $400 for one night. I checked rate for Sunday night and it was $190 for night. This is obvious price gouging. They took advantage of wedding guests. My only positive comment is that the staff were pleasant and the room was clean. There was garbage in the front of the main entrance that did not open. You had to enter the side entrance. This is my first ever Google review so that should tell you all you need to know.
