My amazing fuel company I had been with for 30 years retired and they switched accounts to Bove.I had never heard of them..but now Will remember the name. Called them to say I was a new client woman was friendly said I need to have my tank inspected before delivery?? The Sunday before I asked around at church they said they had never heard of anyone doing an inspection on a tank! Ours is inside of our basement not outside!Well they came not such a personable guy came and said Tanks legs are to long breather is on the wrong side will give you an estimate on a new tank before we can deliver then he went outside to look at pipes and just left.Now we know why they do a tank inspection to scare you into buying a new tank. What a crock…we just had a new furnace and hot water tank, blown insulation 3 years ago they also changed the filter on this old broke down tank!!! Scam,scam,scam!! That’s why they have such bad reviews.

They can not take orders over the phone. Tried to deliver a product that was not ordered. Thank the Lord we were home. They were told thursday showed up on tuesday. My husband said girl had no Idea what she was talking about. He had to tell her it was for our home 3 times. Looking for new company. Driver was very nice is all I can say about this company. I had to give them a one star to post they do not deserve that. For got to say we were Adirondack customers before Bove took over. Will be looking for new company now.

This company has horrible custormer service and terrible accounting. I have had an account with this company for five years and all of a sudden they refuse to come out to fill our tank. There are plenty of other companies to go to.

Absolutely livid. My mother has used them 3 times. First time servicing furnace left it reassembled wrong. 2nd time left cap off leaving basement covered in oil. 3rd and last time had a man clean the furnace of a 77yr old woman without a mask on. Careless and inconsiderate. Avoid this company.

Going above and beyond the call of duty. Use Bove fuels at work and have never had an issue with them always prompt with deliveries when needed and with repairs as well. But that's not going above and beyond the call of duty. Going above and beyond is when you take a second out of your busy day and help a neighbor in need. Recently had a flat tire on river street heading towards Hudson Falls. Had gotten all the way to the last lug and it was distorted to the point that the truck lug wrench wouldn't bite. Thats when a service truck from G.A. Bove stopped and asked if I needed a hand. The right tools always make the job easier and a service truck will have the right tools. Kevin the service tech quickly jumped into action with his socket set to pop the lug off and get me back into action. That's going above and beyond the call. I don't currently have an account with Bove simply because my utilities are included in my rent. But when I finally make the jump to my own place and have to look to heating utilities you can bet Bove will be my first call. Kevin thanks again for your help it's greatly appreciated, and remember folks we are all in this together so when you can lend a hand

Moved to a new area in late fall and called around for delivery of both oil and propane. Every other area company I talked to gave me a long waiting period. Bove told me not to worry, that they would take care of me and ensure that I didn't run out of fuel, and they came out very quickly. Since that time, I've needed both furnace and hot water heater repairs, and they've always been extremely responsive and provided excellent service. Their oil is a bit more expensive than some other companies, but I'm so happy with their overall service that I'm okay paying a little more knowing that they'll be right here if needed. Also super friendly every time I've called.

They told us that they would not come to my home for an emergency service because I didn't purchase enough fuel oil from them.....Really??

BEWARE!This company used to be ok,something changed,now they take FOREVER to make delivery and always have some strange excuses.I will definitely be using another company from now on.

Ran out of fuel on a Sunday at 4 degree. Called for an Emergency fueling and was told I had to wait three days. I was told they were filling people tanks with monitoring systems first. I am on HEAP due to my age and income. The float gauge on my tank does not work, I cannot afford their monitor system. In order to get at the best discount on fuel, I have to let it go empty. My tank is less than 275 gallons. I had no heat or hot water for three days. I had to run electric heaters to prevent the pipes from freezing. Do note on there ad "delivery 24/7, for 24 hours a day" Only for houses with part time residents that do not live here.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with in 52 years. They stopped delivering gas to my home with 4 children in it due to a disputed service bill. They never notified me they were no longer delivering and we ran out; with no heat, no hot water, no stove. The lady claimed I was a will call customer...that is not true...I never had to call for fuel for two years. Another convenient truth for them! I have never missed a payment for any deliveries....heck, I have never missed a payment on ANYTHING in my entire life. I was disputing the bill. HERE IS WHY!!!! My heat pump was running in December. They sent a guy who's first communication was "I don't know much about heat pumps. No one has them up here." He added coolant to my air conditioning unit! IN DECEMBER. He said, "sometimes this works." Needless to say, it did not work. The next technician they sent waked into the mechanical room and said "There is your problem right there. The heat pump temperature sensor is not attached. It says it is 75 degrees outside. I don't think it is---ha-ha, Plus, that is why there is all this wire here." took him 5 minutes----done First they charged me for both visits. I disputed it, and they said ok, you can pay just one, but you have to pay the first one. Of course the first one was twice as much as the bill for the visit that actually worked. I was still in email and phone contact with them about this when my gas ran out. The owner refused to deliver fuel until I paid the disputed amount. As I said, I have never NOT paid a bill in my life...I just wanted some type of reasonable compromise. And I ALWAYS had paid my fuel bill to them on time...for two years! These guys do not care. They do not care that 4 kids were without heat during the winter. they say that they record their phone conversations, so if they want to dispute this, have them produce that transcripted. The owner John was not reasonable about a compromise and refused to have them deliver gas until my bill was paid!
