Stopped in and took a sample home to compare to our current wood flooring. The sample matched well and was the same thickness as our dining/kitchen which in extremely important as the rooms join together in an archway. They told us they would order from the mill and it would take a few weeks, in the meantime they charged us for the entire order and installation. Weeks later the flooring is delivered, is thin, poor quality vinyl! Not laminate/engineered hardwood as we expected. It was so bad there were blobs of plastic/vinyl sticking to the surface of each plank. The color listed on the box didn’t match our invoice. We went back to the store and. Explained the problem.. they insist the color is the same (nope) and the sample was pasted onto an additional wooden slab so this is the reason it was thicker and that’s misleading. They insisted if we didn’t like it we had 120 days and they would replace but it had to be the same item. !!! How does that make sense?? A they will install and let you replace at 120 days but won’t let you purchase anything better?? We attempted to work with them to get something different, offering to pay more for a quality floor or buy a product and install it our selves they refused saying it was “special order” (they have nothing in this store so order everything how is that “special” and it’s vinyl seriously! ) but they picked up the product and took it back. So we have nothing, no flooring, no installation and they haven’t called us back or attempted to contact us in weeks but they have my $4000. At this point it’s just stealing our money! So very disappointed in the company.

I was very happy with everything at Jay Carpet One. The store has a huge selection of flooring, and we chose laminate and carpet. Trisha was knowledgeable and patient with all my questions and concerns. We are very happy with the quality of the flooring, and all of the personnel we dealt with were considerate and professional. We love our new floors!

We highly recommend Jay Carpet One for your flooring needs. Trisha our salesperson was extremely helpful and patient with us choosing our kitchen tile. The delivery guys were timely, polite, and efficient. Chris Buiniskis our tile installer was the most professional, knowledgeable, and nicest tradesman we've ever had. He went above and beyond with the challenge of our 100 year old home. His dedication to his craft and his clients is the reason our kitchen floor looks gorgeous!

Visited on Wednesday. Price was similar to competitors’, but the quality (carpet weight) was twice as heavy. Was installed expertly by 2pm on Friday. Could not be happier.

After a 6 week delay for the carpet to arrive. The installers made a mess of the new carpet. They ended up gluing small patches of carpet around one corner. Looks disgusting. The owner came after they made 2 attempts to fix it. Said it looked bad and would call the next day. Well he never did. They are rip offs. Steer clear of these wanna be carpet people.

I called several weeks ago to have one of their staff come out to give me an estimate for repairs. I have not received a return call.Evidently customer service is important, so I will do business elsewhere

Not 100% reliable, on again, off again, on maintaining promises. Damaged new paintwork during carpet fitting. Will certainly think twice about using again.

I spent over $12,000 for Luxury Vinyl flooring for my entire downstairs, wall to wall carpeting upstairs, and LV in a bathroom and entryway. Installers were great but the customer service in the store was good up until it was paid for and after that it was horrible. There was a problem with multiple boards in different areas of the house. Large sections of the floor had to be removed and new boards put it. This had to be done twice. The 3rd visit was to fix a gap in the boards and remove glue left on the top of the boards. It's a floating floor that should have never been glued. Installers were not crazy about the glue idea but that's what they were told to do. It took about 1 year for everything to be complete. There are still sections with not so perfect boards but it is what it is. After the job was complete I had two partial boxes and 5 full boxes left over....obviously the measurements were incorrect. I asked for a refund on 5 boxes and they flat out refused. I was told they did not charge me labor on those boxes!! We all know that's not true. There was quite a bit of extra carpeting and padding that was removed by the installers. Given the amount of issues, the money spent, and the amount of time it took to get it right....the least they could have done was a refund on 5 boxes that were not needed!! They never reached out to me I always had to reach out to them. I've had lots of communication with the lady who works the front desk and she is VERY unprofessional. I would suggest that Jay step up and handle customer service complaints himself.....especially ones that are ongoing. A little appreciation for a customer goes a long way and will avoid bad reviews.

Not only did it take them 6 weeks until they installed our carpet after we ordered it--we had to keep calling to even get them to install it at that point. So if you buy from them, nail down an installation date and have them date and sign it in a contract or don't buy from them. THEN, when they installed it, they left the doorways unfinished, coming up and fraying. Brand new, EXPENSIVE carpet! We have called and left messages 4 times now, no one will help us, each time the act dumb, and they will not correct their mistake. My husband even tipped the installers generously. Just don't go there.

Starting with a 99¢/sq ft carpet, they tried to charge us $3.40/sq ft installed. Other carpet stores charge 30¢-60¢/sq ft for padding and 50¢/sq ft for labor.. that's $2.09/sq ft high end.. needless to say, we are going elsewhere.
