Reserved their boom lift for 2 days, a week in advance. Picked up the unit at 9am and got back to my house around 9:30am. Set up the machine and got it up in the air to find out the extension would go out slowly then not hold and sink back into the unit. Called the center and the guys came out 30min later around 1030am. Told them I plugged it in because in the time I had it the battery dropped to 1/2. They tinkered around for 30 min saying it was low on fluid and had a bad seal (even though it was just back from service). Told me to talk with “Laura” about compensation/payment as they towed it away because it wasn’t in working condition at 11am. Laura tried to charge me 4hr min ($150) for an unsafe/shouldn’t have been rented out machine when my day rate was ($180). Unacceptable in my opinion for something that could have injured me or damaged other property. After going back and forth from $150 to $100 to the final $50 charge. It is crazy that a local business would treat someone like this and not just eat the whole rental for a machine that the employees said should be out of commission while at my house. As I know they don’t care when people say this but I’ll just take my business elsewhere for rentals and Stihl equipment. Best of luck do it center and hope that lift gets replaced before you have a bigger problem on your hands.

The best local hardware store! The staff here is beyond helpful and friendly. They have a huge selection upstairs and downstairs of home improvement, lawn and garden, and anything home related you may need. Such a local treasure!

Great local business. Been buying building materials for home renovations here for a number of years and just recently had them program a smart key for a push button Ford. The price was significantly lower than any local dealer and didn't have to make an appointment. Can't beat it.

Let me begin by saying that the staff is incredibly friendly. All very nice people. However, my experience left me doubting their integrity. We were grill shopping. This year, the grill we wanted must be the grill everyone wants, because we hadn't been able to find it anywhere. Online, it appeared that this store had the grill, so we made the drive to chat with them. They didn't have one but could get it from their warehouse we were told, and even though Weber had a published price, we were told that it would cost us nearly $400 more. The gentleman cited diesel prices, freight charges from their warehouse, and the scarcity of the grill all as reasons why we would be up charged. We looked at the computer as he searched the warehouse and saw that his cost was $350 below the published price, that there was no drop ship fee from their local warehouse, and no mention of a fuel surcharge. Heck, we could have ordered it from Weber for the published fee with free shipping, so apparently, he saw an opportunity to gouge us for another $400. We thanked him for his time, looked online, and ordered from ACE Hardware in Wyalusing PA. Published price, no up charge, no fuel surcharge, no shenanigans. I'm afraid that I cannot shop or recommend the Do It Center in Horseheads NY, but I wholeheartedly can refer anyone to ACE in Wyalusing PA.

I only give this place 3 stars due to the poor attitude and absolutely disgusting way an employee treated us upon making a return. I know why he treated Us as such too. We were totally profiled in such a way that can destroy an up and coming small business and it was quite unfair. Let's just say that you don't know everyone, or the life they live. This guy made it clear that He was trying to deliberately be rude. Other employees apologized for His behavior as this is not the first time he has treated people poorly. His excuse "He's never seen us before. "Great, right? ?♀️?♀️ Husband said he'll never go back. ?♀️?♀️
