DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. THEY BROKE MY TRUCK AND ALSO MADE UP PHANTOM REPAIRS JUST TO TAKE MORE OF MY MONEY! I originally brought my SUV to Lamac's because it was shifting hard in reverse. It did not have any lights on the dash. After their diagnosis they told me that my tranny was fine and that it had a broken motor mount causing the feeling when shifting. They also told me that I needed a new wheel bearing as well as a new battery. Now I had just been at a mechanic 1.5 months prior and they didn't mention these problems. I also had a brand new battery put in 2 months ago. So I thought this was strange but didn't think much of it. So I brought it back to do the wheel bearing and the motor mount. When they returned my SUV it now had the ABS light , the traction control and stabilitrak lights on. I was upset but trusted lamac's to fix the problems they caused. I informed them and they told me to bring it back and that they would fix the problems. So when they returned it this time the ABS light was off but the traction control and stabilitrak light remained. My SUV was now making a weird grinding noise coming from under the hood. I looked and noticed that my steering rack was missing it's sleeve/boot (to keep it from rusting)and that they beat it to get it off but couldn't figure out where the grinding was coming from. I then call and talk to the owner who told me to bring it in in a couple days. During that couple days I was driving my daughter home when my traction control light began blinking and my tires locked up and stopped. I am lucky that I was driving in the city and going slow and not on the through way. I was very upset that they did not tell me that this was such a serious problem and that it put my kids lives in danger. I brought it back on the day of my appointment when they were supposed to fix it. They contacted me a couple hours later to come get it. The lights were still on!. They now had a new diagnosis stating that I needed a new transmission, ball joints, steering sensor (which they say is what is throwing the traction control light and causing the NEW problem), and a couple other things but didn't mention the battery this time. I asked them what they did that broke it but they told me they didn't and that it was a coincidence for it to happen the moment I got it back. Literally as soon as I got in. I argued that of course and told them that we have to come to a solution for this or a was taking legal action. They then changed their story to "you brought it in like that" but on their original receipt their is no lights on. So this contradics everything they have said up untill then. I was very upset with them and felt like they were playing me so I got a second opinion immediately after leaving. I wanted to make sure that the wheel bearing and motor mount was new and that they were not making up these repairs. The new mechanic said that the wheel bearing was definitely new but he couldn't say if the motor mount was new or used but that it definitely was switched out because the steering rack was removed and freshly dinged up (assuming to get it off). They said that the steering sensor is the traction control problem and when they removed the steering rack with force that they threw off the sensor and that (in his words) "any mechanic should know this" . He said that my other motor mount could be replaced and possibly fix the shifting problem (I originally brought it to Lamac's for). He said my battery was new and that it was working perfectly. And that I could use new ball joints. He said nothing of a new tranny or a brake sensor or anything else. After asking around I learned that I am not the first person who's had a bad experience and I wish I would've known sooner. I will now be taking them to court in hopes I can get this resolved considering the money and time wasted as well as the price I have to pay to fix the traction and engine issue they caused. Not to mention the stress it has caus
