Very historical site of the 1777 reveloutionary war. It’s a beautiful mountain side setting with that shows the encampments of the war and they have picnic tables and historical markers. Great place to walk dogs and have a picnic. They also have a small pavilion and a lot of historical information at the top of the mountain.

It was a nice spot to have a little picnic and enjoy the scenery. The monuments are nice.

A tent manned by an unsociable young man, who offered no greeting or history of the area or battle. Poorly maintained displays. Nys should be ashamed. Not unique to this historic site.

On the smaller side of the parks but still a great visit. They had someone on site the day of our visit answering any questions. I recommend if visiting this park to also make the trip to the monument in Vermont.

Amazing battlefield not to be confused with the monument. Great staff as well.

This monument was really impressive. They charge very minimal for the entry fee. You can park your vehicle roadside. The visitor center and Restrooms were neat and clean. To go up the monument there's a elevator. View from the up is not really impressive but good enough to keep this in your bucket list.

Not too far from the monument in Bennington - maybe a little over 5 miles. Back in the day you could actually see the monument from the top of this hill. There is a great view from here of some of the major points of battle, as well as helpful displays. The view from this spot is even more spectacular in October. Beautiful.

Bit out of the way, but kind of an interesting place, nonetheless. We met friends there for a picnic lunch. We didn't really hike although trails exist. One complaint would be the entry road. It was wide enough for one car. Not sure what you'd do if you met someone going the opposite direction.

We took a tour with Dave from the State Historic Site because we had ancestors who participated in the battle. He took us around the historic site and was a wonderful guide. Thanks, Dave, for your help! It made our visit so much more informative and memorable!

A history buffs dream. A significant revolutionary war battle took place there. Our most recent visit we were fortunate enough to get an overview from a volunteer at the park.
