This has been the worst post office ever and perhaps it's just representative of what's happening throughout the postal system in the United States. However my husband was outside just now shoveling snow and she literally blew right past our postal box and kept going without delivering the mail and delivered the mail to the subsequent houses. They frequently give us other people's mail and I'm sure my mail is going to other peoples homes as well. In this day and age you would think that this particular service would be functioning better than it is very sad commentary on the state of the country. Shame on you Holmes Post Office.

Hours say they're open til 5 on fridays, and its 4:39 but the doors are locked and the staff arent anywhere to be found. Really annoying.

I give them one star because it's the lowest rating available it should be a negative rating. There were at least four people "working" behind the counter I was the only customer tow of the workers walked by without saying a word finally as the third was about to pass me by I asked "do I have to take a number or ring a bell"?. Service was unhelpful. Overall a bad experience if you're looking for a good experience in the post office poughquag it's Only 5 miles away or LaGrangeville

Love, love, love small-town post offices when you can go in and there's no line and the person behind the desk knows what packages you're coming for. This post post office is exactly that. They've gone above and beyond trying to accommodate my request from leaving packages that I needed urgently at the front gate to calling me when live chicks arrived in the mail.
