New ownership, great food, lots of outdoor seating.
Food & drinks: Great special cocktails. Ask Cheryl for gimlet if she's bartending.

Stayed 2 nights over July 4th with my boyfriend and his dog, couldnt have had a better experience. Room was clean and exactly as pictured, pool was also clean and never too crowded, and the lakeside view cant be beat for the price. Cant wait to go back!

Beautiful newly updated room on the water front. Awesome pool with view of the lake. Unfortunately for us the restaurant and bar was closed during our stay . Restaurant is closed Monday &Tuesday .
Nearby activities: Short drive to Watkins Glen and many winerys
Safety: Very quiet neighborhood, lovely and well cared for .
Noteworthy details: You can also rent a boat or bring your own. They also have a kayak launch.

We took a room on the lake
It was amazing to wake up there in the morning
The rooms are beautiful and the bathroom is amazing
Overall a great experience.
We ate once at the restaurant and we didn't enjoy it that much. It was reasonable. It took half an hour to get the food at the restaurant. There were almost no diners.
In short, this is the weak point in my opinion.
The restaurant is more suitable for a glass of beer and enjoying the lake.
On weekends there will be a band that plays very cool but loud for those who are nearby?

Nice place for a relaxing weekend, with a great lakefront view.
Brie, the head of housekeeping, was so helpful with everything that we needed.
Rooms: We stayed in a lakefront room: great view. Very nicely renovated. Definitely will stay here again.
Nearby activities: Close to wineries.
Food & drinks: Restaurant had good food and great drinks. Customer service was wonderful.

The showboat motel has come a long way from where they were, the rooms look sensational, the food is delicious. I love that they do breakfast on weekends now, the pool is crystal clear with some cool floaties for the kiddo's. It's such a great place to be during the summer!

We had lunch on a beautiful day, location is fabulous. Food was good but portions on the small side. Unfortunately there was not enough wait help on a holiday weekend (memorial Day). Don't know if people called off or what, but we waited 2 hours to get our food between waiting to order and waiting for the actual food.

The hotel’s restaurant was a highlight, with delicious food and a great atmosphere. Dining by the lake made every meal special.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I also saw many pretty fish which was awesome for my kids.
Overall, the Showboat Hotel is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the lake. I highly recommend it!

I was here last year they have done some beautiful renovations. The house doesn’t look anything like it previously did, it seems majority of it has been replaced! Beds were super comfortable and waking up to the sun rise and water is unbelievable! The restaurant is under new ownership/management and it’s such a fun design concept with a new juke box! The food is tasty and so affordable! Great place for families, they have a pool and boat rentals which is super convenient for those that are on the water and want a quick bite! The owners said there will be more upgrades as the years go on, definitely will be returning!

We were excited to stay in a room right on the lake with such a great view. The room certainly was not like the website photos, old & not real clean. We expected & didn’t mind the loud music being until 10-11-which it was the 1st night. The 2nd morning a large group arrived & warned us that we were the only ones staying there that were not in their party & they felt sorry for us! They brought all their own food (didn’t use the restaurant) own loud music, and lots of vulgar language which went on till 2am. We walked down the road to sit at a firepit at a great motel we’ve stayed at previously to enjoy the view. There was no management on site to control them. Called emergency number in morning to check out because still no one was in office. Was advised no one was there because they had to take son to college!! They knew they weren’t going to be there but left anyways? They offered free nights but we wouldn’t go if you paid us. We ate at the restaurant-food was disappointing, drinks low quality & the waitress was very rude. Brought wrong food & argued it was what we ordered-I guess the 4 of us in our group heard the order wrong? We visit the area often-there are many other beautiful, affordable places to stay close by.

Rooms: Nice clean rooms
Food & drinks: We ate at the bar on Fri and they only had one waitress so all the food was cold by the time we received it. Probably would've been good if it was hot. ?♀️

I wanted to love this place as it was one of the few places still available for our long weekend trip with friends, right on the lake. Sadly, now I see why rooms were still available. It started off with receiving an automated email a few days ahead of check-in (seems convenient right?). Unfortunately, the email listed 2 different room numbers, so I had no clue which room was mine. It’s self check-in so I NEEDED to get it right before we arrived. I had to call the office to get the correct room number (neither of the original two listed in the email). We arrived later Thursday evening, get into our room, and these are much smaller than the pictures make it out to be (our fault for assuming more). Seemed like nice rooms but more like lipstick on a pig. Bathroom appeared updated but upon a closer look, not good at all. Cracked walls, bad drywall work around light switches, discolored lines of water down multiple walls, and a shower which water backed up to our mid SHINS almost immediately. Unfortunately, this was not the worst part. Our friends were staying at an Airbnb down the road. We invited them to come to the motel for drinks. We all ordered and sat out on the patio (nice view of the lake). My wife got 2/3 of the way through her mixed drink and then immediately felt nauseous. She had MOLD on both the outside and inside of her class. She was drinking MOLD in her mixed drink. She confirmed it was inside by scraping it away on the inside, bottom of the glass. She felt nauseous the entire night as she is allergic to mold. We were all mortified. Bartender was mortified. We were instructed to speak with the manager the next day. I followed up with management the following day. The team was very “concerned” and ensured us we would be refunded for our drinks (~$20, uh score?). We were also told we could possibly switch rooms and management would speak with ownership on if anything could be done about our awful bar experience. Long story short, we did not receive any follow-up whatsoever. Multiple emails and texts were sent to the Showboat Motel and ZERO follow up. No follow up the remaining 3 days we were there (this all happened day 1) nor the week since we checked out. Total and utter lack of concern for us as guests and my wife’s health. I would not recommend anyone stay here.
