My wife and I had a really lovely time here for two nights. The room and bed were comfortable and the breakfast each morning was filling and delicious. I forgot the hospitality coordinator's name, but she was super helpful and friendly. She made the breakfast, cleaned the rooms and helped us book our stay and organize our tour of the sanctuary. Thanks so much to her and the staff that run this amazing place. We hope to visit again soon! I've been vegetarian for decades, but our stay has convinced me to go vegan.p.s. If you're reading this, please help protect the innocent by not supporting factory farms ♥️????♥️

If you are vegan, love animals, and a quiet and peaceful environment then The Gray Barn is a cannot be missed experience. Rena and Anna were wonderful hosts. Rena prepared a wonderful vegan breakfast every morning. Anna took us on a private tour of the sanctuary.Rooms: Simple yet elegantNearby activities: Plenty of places to go within a relatively short driveFood & drinks: Great vegan breakfast and plenty of restaurants within driving range with vegan options

There is nowhere else like this on earth. It is heaven for guests and heaven for the animals. Thank you for giving me a sanctuary which is representative of what the world should be!

This is a wonderful spot in a quiet, rural portion of Eastern Upstate New York. My partner booked a two night stay for us, including a tour of the sanctuary. I admit that I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but The Gray Barn far exceeded anything I might have expected. It is far from a "barn" in any traditional sense. The building is basically brand new, constructed in 2019. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. There isn't a TV to be found in the whole building, but I think that fits with the setting. Instead, each 2nd floor room comes with its own balcony space to overlook the natural area the farm sanctuary sits in, with guests given free reign to roam the grounds and commune with the animals it houses. As a B&B, a delicious, freshly made vegan breakfast is of course included, which will fuel you well for whatever you have planned for the area.Whenever we decide to come back and visit the area again, this spot will be on our short list of places to stay!

First it's on an animal sanctuary - so that makes it so special. The place is gorgeous - the view of The Gunks out your bedroom, on your private patio, is spectacular. The rooms and common area are emaculate, Very tastefully decorated, and the staff is amazing. If you really want to escape and get back to nature - book a stay.

My partner and I spent our anniversary here, and it was perfect. Woodstock Farm Sanctuary is one of the hardest working and well-oiled sanctuaries in the country, so the pretty penny we paid felt good, knowing it was going into what they do.The Gray Barn was very modern and beautiful, with a wide open common area and huge windows with a deck to admire the view of the goat pasture from. We had the Agnes room, which was smaller than your average hotel room but very cozy with a particularly nice shower and complimentary vegan hygiene products. It was so nice to know nothing there was tested on animals, and that the blankets and pillows weren’t filled with down or anything. We took advantage of the opportunity to stroll around the grounds and admire the animal residents, many of whom eagerly will greet you.The inn is extremely quiet and serene, being out in the country and all. I did worry that the other couple staying there could hear our every move and word. The next morning, hospitality coordinator Rena somehow made breakfast without making a single sound. I watched her for a second from the second floor overlook and she was so quiet! She made flawless pancakes and a nice kale, sausage, and fruit hash, and was just a really nice presence and someone to chat with. She made me feel so welcomed. This was a magical place and we will definitely be back. Celebrating our relationship in such a relaxing and intimate setting, and surrounded by animals living free from suffering, was really special.

Visiting The Gray Barn had been a dream of mine for over 2 years. We finally made it happen and are so glad we did!Everything is planned out so well, from the vegan and cruelty free toiletries to the bamboo tissues and toilet paper. The comforter on the bed was the so soft it was like sleeping on clouds. This is such a beautiful and relaxing space.Leigh prepared breakfast in the morning and gave us a wonderful tour. We also were able to walk around the night before and see some of the animals then as well.Everything about the experience was what we hoped it would be and more, it is also great to know the money from the stay is used to continue to save more animals and provide for the current residents.
