I have an account with them. I have been a customer for years and never had an issue until now. My appointment for my tune up was cancelled the morning of due to emergencies they had (i get it. Things happen). They did come two weeks later and cleaned my boiler. My issue is that my oil tank is very low and i have been calling for days, begging for a delivery. Its been 4 days, numerous phone calls and emails and no delivery. The snarky girl that answers the phone is clueless. She cant tell me when i am scheduled, after pleading with them for a delivery. Their communication is horrible and the CS rep that took my calls is extremely unprofessional. Even laughed when i asked to speak with a manager. I was left on hold for what seemed like forever until i hung
Up. I am very disappointed with Slomins. I will not be renewing with them when my contract ends. I do think their technicians are excellent. Its their office and communication that is deplorable.

Dishonest Bait-and-Switch—They Hike Prices After Taking Your Deposit! I contacted Slomin’s for a home service, and they confirmed a fixed price of $4,000 upfront. They pressured me to pay a deposit and sign their contract right away, reassuring me the $4,000 included all costs with no hidden fees. I trusted their word, paid the deposit, and signed the agreement.
Weeks later, their inspector showed up for the pre-service walkthrough—and that’s when the scam started. He pointed to random areas of my house, claiming “this needs extra materials” and “that requires additional labor,” then hit me with a massive price hike. The original $4,000 quote suddenly jumped by hundreds of dollars, with no valid explanation for the new charges.
When I reminded them of the signed contract and confirmed $4,000 price, they brushed me off—saying the inspector’s “on-site assessment” overrides the initial agreement. They refused to honor the contract or refund my deposit, leaving me stuck: pay the inflated price or lose the money I’d already put down.
Slomin’s is nothing but a dishonest company that tricks you into paying a deposit with a fake quote, then holds your money hostage to force you into paying more. Their contracts are worthless, and their customer service is predatory. Do not trust them—you’ll regret it!
