Overall a satisfying experience. I was upset when upon arrival I was told the service garage was backed up, and I might have to wait a while. This was 8 30 in the morning. How could that be?Regardless, my routine maintenance was completed in less than 3 hours.The staff were very polite and professional, especially Nathan, and also Dave from parts.My only complaint relates to the waiting area. Other dealers have coffee, snacks, and water in their waiting area.. Here at Platinum, the waiting area is small, no coffee or snacks, with uncomfortable, crowded, seating .Otherwise a five star experience.

I ordered a gas cap for my 2009 Volkswagen beetle convertible. Before I ordered it, I completed the fit questions online and was told the part would fit my car. it doesn't, the neck and thread are clearing different than the original gas cap. It's been a nightmare communicating with them (email only) with many delayed responses. Now they expect me to pay for the return shipping for their error. Do not recommend.

Had an 8:15 appointment and got my car back 7 hours later after having to call about 4 times to ask about it. All they had to do was check for a leak. I ended up having to take an Uber to work for $25 and change my work shift for absolutely nothing. I could have had my car back that whole time and saved that money for gas. Such an inconvenience that could have been avoided had they communicated better. I have the app for my car on my phone that sends me a notification when the door is unlocked, I didn't get one until after I called the first time at 2:00, 6 hours later. So it just sat there untouched. After calling the last time it obviously sounded like they forgot all about my car and wasted so much of my time. So irresponsible and inconsiderate. Please do better I hope I never have to go back again.

The service department at Hicksville needs to make serious improvements when it comes to appointments management and customer service. It was a complete disappointment, especially with the manager's lack of direct communication. Instead of addressing our concerns personally, he kept sending a middleman to deal with my car delays. At one point (3pm), he even claimed that they lost electricity, which seemed like a dubious excuse. As a loyal Volkswagen owner for over 15 years, I expected better treatment and professionalism from the manager, but unfortunately, he fell far short of those expectations. Despite having an 8:30 am appointment for a simple tire exchange, my car wasn't attended to until 4:30 pm, causing significant delays for my family vacation. I specifically chose the Volkswagen service department for its expertise in tire balancing, alignment, and replacement, as safety for my long trip was my priority. Unfortunately, it took them 8 hours to complete the task, resulting in the loss of a day of our vacation and $1000. I was disappointed by the manager's lack of remorse, apology, or concern for my situation. It is disappointing that despite my concerns and inconvenience, the service department at Hicksville only offered a meager $10 reduction in price. This token gesture does little to address the significant loss of time and money experienced during my family vacation. It reflects a lack of understanding and empathy on their part, highlighting the need for substantial improvements in their customer service approach and new management.

Brought my beetle in for check and oil change . it's been 6 months but not a lot of miles. honestly the service rep told me to save my money no need to change oil until a year was up. thats a great heads up really appreciated.I ve been there many times for service. always great.

Afrter speaking with The Volkswagen Group (VERY PROFESIONAL AND COURTIOUS) I brought my car to replace the Thermostat housing/water pump under an extented warrantee because of a coolant leak. I was told by Platinum Volkswagen that the damage I had was due to an oil leak from engine work I had a month ago at a local mechanic. I took the car back to the local mechanic. We let the engine run for over 40 minutes without the slightest oil leak being visible. The water pump leak was evident without any oil around it. I was with my mechanic all 40+ minutes. Went back to Platinum. A guy by the name of Steve Fox (migh have lied about his name), refused to even listen to what I was saying. He told me in a very rude manner that there was nothing to say other than his diagnosis. When I, very calmy, confronted him that VW Group specifically covers this under an extented warranty, he still refused to accept what I was saying. I asked him if it was OK to call VW Group to get their take on the issue. He told me he didn't care what VW Group says, that all dealers are completely indepentent from VW Group, and that they are allowed to refuse service as they wish, and that there was nothing else to say. He told me that he didn't want to service me, lietrally throwing me out of the office tellng me "Get out of my place". ABSOLUTELY one of the worst experiences I have ever had as a consumer. I have only nice things to say about VW Group, except .....how can they let Jerks like this guy Steve represent Volkswagen in such awful manner!

I had the best experience here! I'm from Jersey here for work, and my "check tire" light came on and of course I was so freaking worried. I booked an early appointment and as soon as I arrived I was greeted by Steve. This man was so kind and so knowledgeable my anxiety instantly went away. There ended up being just a pressure balance issue but they made a video showing the process and Steve explained so much to me. Like I am just so blown away. Great place here if I have any issues I may just drive up here just to have them help me!

Great people who work here. Friendly and they are competent, a rarity in todays world. They have discounts when you order online so it’s cheaper than other local vw dealers.

Great customer service! Great employees! Great service!I want to personally thank Platinum Volkswagen Parts for helping me out with a Key that I needed programmed. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE- especially third party key programmers!Platinum really took care of me and I can not be more satisfied with their solutions to my problems.I would 10/10 recommend to all! Place is completely useless when it comes to service. You can never get an appointment. If you work a 9-5 job and on weekends good luck they will not help you out. They can't even squeeze someone in for a 10 min oil change. I have been trying to make an appointment for over a month now with no luck what so ever. Latest appointment they have is 1:30pm. That don't help me out when someone gets off at 3-3:30 some days. There response was find a different dealership who can help you... No you should be helping because I bought my car from you people and when something is included in my lease agreement you expect to see it through. It's sad to see that this dealership works like this.

My service for a replacement eye glass holder was less then 45 minutes. Attendant was very nice! Appointment was easy to make and part was held until I could get in!! Thank you VW!!
