As I have a keen interest in cytology, I contacted this business about a Leica combination setup with wireless ability to IOS devices and Android devices for my practice. I was convinced out of it as the proprietor Fred gauranteed me that a Motic camera would work with the Labomed and Mac computers. Long story short, after weeks of trying to make the camera work with my Macbook Pro, I had to send it back. This was a telephone order and no mention was ever made about the inability to return a camera. After much back and forth and wasting my time, I ended up with the Labomed, no wireless camera ability and return charges, which were never mentioned. This IS NOT a customer centric business and cares little about helping hard working practitioners solve problems. I recommend that you think twice prior to doing business with this company.

I am not sure if this is the continued effects of the pandemic on customer service, but my experience was no good. Given the stellar reviews of the company and Fred, I was looking forward to working with the company. However, when it was requested to set up a meeting to get microscope recommendations, Fred insisted on email communication. I finally called because the time difference (with me being in East Africa at the time) didn't make for timely communications. On the call, he was quite rude about the whole thing and I asked if we can set up a time to talk if not at that very moment. He refused to set up a time, basically saying that he is very busy. I've worked in service so I get being busy, but I think it is unreasonable and poor service to completely deny a consultation for a high priced purchase for a equipment. Then he insisted that I told him one thing then the other. Thinking I misspoke, I looked through the emails and I confirmed that I never made the claim. He insisted on email correspondence (treating email as a chat), which honestly takes longer than just talking to someone on the phone. I made specific requests for what I wanted out of the scope and he just sent links of 4 pages of microscopes that I have already looked at all while ignoring the link I would send about 1 specific microscope. I repeatedly asked to be shown or be recommended a specific microscope. I finally gave up.

Placed an order on August 13th , the items are backorder and did not arrive yet but I was sent an email and I was contacted by the company to let me know they are arriving soon, I truly appreciate the communication between the customer and the owner and I can't wait to receive my items they were very well recommended by other customers. As a health care professional Im looking for quality and authenticity of the product and I believe this company delivers both. Update received my products they are great , fits in my bag and my kids bookbags for school ?.just as described .

I was buying a microscope and camera on behalf of a government ministry and I worked with Fred and Joanne at New York Microscope during the process. They were exceptional. My experience with them was as positive as my experience with Euromex (the brand of scope I was buying) was negative, and the more Euromex underperformed, the more impressed I was with the response and customer service of Fred and his team in dealing with it.I was up front when I first bought the scope that it needed to arrive within a certain window due to funding restrictions, and Fred shipped the microscope quickly. Unfortunately, due to a mistake by Euromex, the camera was not included in the box, though the outside of the box was labeled 'microscope and camera'.Fred acted quickly and shipped out a better Euromex camera than I had ordered. Unfortunately, due to ANOTHER screw up by Euromex, the camera box arrived without the USB cable which is necessary to use it OR the c-mount adapter which is essential for attaching it to the scope (I had confirmed with Euromex that the adapter was included before I even made the initial purchase). The box for the USB cable, just like with the microscope, was labeled 'USB cable', but it was empty. I guess Euromex doesn't like to actually check inside boxes before they ship them.Anyway, Fred was on it, and he made it right, and all before our funding deadline lapsed. I'd definitely buy a microscope through him in future, and someday soon when it comes time for me to buy my own personal microscope, he's got my business. I'm just not sure Euromex does!
