Went here on March 19th to purchase a sink/cabinet for a bathroom that was being remodeled after a flood. I had seen the vanity advertised a couple of months earlier being on sale for $199 until March 26. I kept this sink in mind until it came time for the contractor to go get it, and install it. I had pictures in my phone of the sink and its advertised price, which clearly showed until March 26, apparently it was being discontinued. Contractor goes, they have two sinks in stock, a floor model and one in the back, but wouldn't sell it to him at $199, and he had the pics I showed him in his phone. I decided to go there myself, when the contractor came back empty handed. The manager of course was on the phone, and the assistant manager came over, looking at my photos with such scrutiny, that you'd think he was looking at military reconnaissance photos taken from a drone, giving me one excuse after the other about how Lowes can end a sale at their discretion. I never heard such nonsense, and he me a offered a 10% discount. I really wanted this particular vanity, and agreed to it. However, I felt it was bad business of them to not honor the advertised price, it was like a bait and switch situation. I felt that since they still had two remaining sinks in stock, is being discontinued, and I was there a week before the sale end date of March 26, the advertised sale price should have been honored. I got the phone number for corporate, to make a complaint, but it too only fell on deaf ears, with some supervisor saying it was very kind of them to give me the 10% of!!! I love the sink, but not happy Lowe's basically extorted more money from me to purchase it, gave me a cursory 10% off , and feel like they did me this huge favor for doing so. I have always enjoyed shopping here over their other big box home improvement competitor, but no more. They're just as bad and as unhelpful as their competitor..so bottom line, buyer beware, shameful. Unfortunately, Amazon won't be able to put them out of business, simply because contractors need large amounts of supplies on the day they're set to do certain work.

hit or miss, some staff are extremely helpful some are not.update: after a month of waiting, they still could not install my door because they forgot to order the brick mold for my door. the installer Sonny and Fran from kitchen section were really helpful along the process but absolute worst customer service from the door section. I am calling to cancel the order as I have waited for more than 3 months for this project to happen and after paying $$$, god knows if there wont be any more delay and i cant keep having this big door sitting in my garage which i cant park my car in for weeks already.

Annoyed that they didn't have any working scooters and I had to stand for hours with a knee injury while spending over 4k on appliances. Salesman was Ok, not my personal cup of tea; but was capable of answering most questions. The delivery was a complete disaster though. Long story; but store manager assisted in righting the wrong. Still a HUGE waste of time. On the positive - LOVE the new appliances. Good adulting.

Compared to Home Depot, it is more organized and easier to find stuff. But range of products are not satisfactory.

Very much prefer Home Depot. Lowe’s have let standards slip in the last 5-7 years. Customer service is atrocious

I recently had a remarkable experience at Lowe's. The staff demonstrated a level of proactive assistance rarely seen in retail. Instead of avoiding eye contact, two team members actively approached customers, offering help and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Even at the self-checkout, a simple query turned into a heartwarming scene where a team member not only answered a customer's question but also mediated a dispute between two children, showcasing a commitment to exceptional service. This stands in stark contrast to my experiences at other stores. Visiting two Home Depots and another Lowe's in Brooklyn left me frustrated in my search for deck paint and assistance. However, my visit to Lowe's on Long Island was a game-changer. An employee not only directed me to the deck paint but also volunteered to customize the color without prompting. This level of service left me incredibly satisfied and reaffirmed my belief in the power of exceptional customer care.

A well-organized Lowe's at this location! I witnessed two of the staff team actively (walking around, looking for signs of people moving slow or confused, or customers looking around aimlessly,) asking people if they needed help. In retail these days, most of the time, if you make eye contact with a "worker," they look away, try to look busy, or just vanish so you don't ask them a question. Pretty rare to see what I did today, honestly. At the self-checkout, a simple question that could've been answered yes or no by the "clerk," was met with enthusiasm. The customer had two small children who started to argue over who would use the hand scanner. The team member stepped in, showed them how to do it, and- as a third party- made sure the two girls took turns and got an equal chance to get what they wanted. Incredible!!!On the surface- or from some corporate office- it might sound like he may have wasted time doing this. I would hope the company is not that naive! I watched him carefully, (honestly, amazed,) and what he did very likely freed up this "self-checkout" station faster than if the woman had to break up the argument herself, and EVERYONE left happy! I had to wait 60 seconds for him- my one product had an RF security tag on it that needed removed- but so what?!?! I'm sure I could've huffed and acted like one of those ignorant customers- but the fact is that I witnessed a worker going out of his way to help, make two little girls and their mother happy, and reminded me that I should hope to be this nice to people in those little situations...... because you never know what it means, especially so for people you don't know are watching! Besides... grumpy people need a good example of how to act like a normal, nice person anyway! It was a very nice thing to see, good for you, Mr.!
