Purchased a very very expensive engagement ring from Goldie’s Jewlery. Price was based on the specifications they told us. Turns out the ring really has a GIA certificate that shows actual specifications of the center stone that make it worth about 25% less. Contacted owner, he promised a full refund on the phone and in writing weeks ago. Goldie’s collected the ring, never refunded us despite continued promises. We got the ring back and are back at square one.

In May 2023, we made the distressing discovery that Goldie's Jewelry had sold us a diamond ring for $42,000 without disclosing its GIA certification while providing their own grading specifications. This omission became even more concerning when we compared their inflated specifications, including larger size, higher clarity, and better color, with the actual diamond certificate from the GIA. The significant discrepancy between what was sold to us and the verified grading led us to pay a considerably higher price for a diamond of substantially lesser value than initially presented by Goldie's Jewelry. In June 2018, my husband and I, being long-time customers of Goldie's Jewelry, were assured by them that they would give us a great deal on a new diamond ring. They promised that their profit would be just 10% of our purchase, a proposal that seemed generous at the time. Relying on their reputation and our trust built over the years, we purchased an 18K White Gold Diamond Engagement Ring from them. The center diamond, sold to us as an uncertified, 5.05-carat cushion cut, J/K color, VS2 clarity by Goldie's Jewelry, who also provided their own written appraisal for the ring. We paid $42,000 for the ring, wiring the money directly to their bank account. At that point, we were unaware of any GIA certification for the diamond, and no such information was shared with us by Goldie's Jewelry. As longstanding customers for over a decade, we trusted what they told us.Fast forward to May 2023, a GIA Graduate Gemologist in Florida identified a laser-inscribed GIA certificate number on the diamond of this ring purchased at Goldie's Jewelry. The GIA report was printed and indicated that the diamond was a 5.03-carat diamond (NOT 5.05-carat as Goldie's said) with an L color (NOT J/K color as Goldie's said) and SI1 clarity (NOT VS2 as Goldie's said). All 3 specs were lower than what Goldie's Jewelry indicated at the time of sale, on the receipt, and on their appraisal. The Gemologist estimated that we overpaid approximately $12,000 for the stone considering its true certified GIA grading. If we had been informed about the diamond's actual GIA specifications, which were available at the time of the sale, we would not have purchased the ring for $42,000. This highlights the importance of accurate and transparent grading in ensuring fair pricing for customers. At the time, we trusted Goldies to be transparent with the item they were selling us.Upon this discovery, we immediately reached out to Goldie's Jewelry, who after some back and forth, agreed in writing to a full refund of the purchase price of $42,000. They collected the ring from us via FedEx, and we were given assurances of a full refund on the next business day after they received the ring back. This did not happen. Despite a series of reassurances and promised payment dates by Goldie's over a two-week period, not a cent was ever refunded to us. The reasons provided by Goldie's varied from "waiting for funds to clear" to "going to the bank at 2 pm," "things are tight", and "There is nothing to lose sleep over. I'm giving you a full refund.", among others - all documented in writing.Eventually, Goldie's Jewelry called and said that they had been trying to sell the diamond in order to refund us. This was not in line with what they had initially promised. They told us that they were unsuccessful in their efforts to sell the ring, and offered a new arrangement: they would keep the ring, and give a refund of $20,000 now, with a possibility of more in the future. This was unacceptable and directly contradicted their multiple previous assurances of an unconditional full refund of $42,000. Also, it contradicted their earlier statement that they had returned the diamond to their supplier and were waiting for the funds from this transaction to clear. The discrepancies in their communications shattered the last crumbs of our trust. We rejected their last proposal. We countered th

This Jewlery store is the most honest and respective Jewler I know. I love jewlery and have been to many jewelers but never came across such an honest and respective Jewler. It's family oriented and they will explain everything and go out of their way to make sure your happy. Their prices and craftsmanship is beyond words. Shop around and then go to Goldie's you will not disappointed. I have had several things made for me and they also fixed things that other jewelers weren't able to do. I can't rave enough about this jewlery store.

Great experience. Went in on a whim to get my wife’s engagement ring repairs (stone missing and prongs.) They fixed it on the spot, shined it, cleaned it and all for a fair price. Family biz, felt good in there. Thanks Kevin and Kevin’s dad!

I stopped in the store today and was completely satisfied with the staff and store. Family business with a thumbs up. While I was shopping another patron came in and gave me a good vibe, the way they were so familiar with her. Thank you.

She said yes!!! I had specific things I really wanted and Goldies didn't even hesitate to accommodate. They made a custom ring, helped me pick a perfect center stone, kept me informed during the build process, and the final product was flawless! It's been 3 years now and the ring is in perfect condition. Platinum is holding up extremely well.Pricing is on par with other jewelers but the service and skill you get is exceptional.
