Put a band aid solution on my car but charged me as if he replaced the part. I eventually had to go to someone else after he got nasty and didn't want to fix my car for the third time. When I went to someone else they told me and actually showed me what this guy did. He's a Crook! Stay away, this guy knows how to cheat you.

[[EDIT: Took my car back in for a clutch problem months ago. Was told to pick it up at X time. I was walking from the next town over to pick my car up at the specified time and got a call/was told it wouldn't be ready, that they hit a snag. So I turned around and walked home, but about 20 minutes later got a call back: they figured it out, so I walked back again. They explained they had to finegle the throw out bearing because it wasn't clearing something in the clutch, but that they got it, and charged me $850. Well, as soon as I drove out of the parking lot I noticed grinding noises from the clutch when under load whenever I reached 3.5k RPM or when I changed gear.. I took it back the next day and they said there was a problem with the master & slave cylinder now, and took my car back in. Second time I went to pick it up, after the $350 master/slave cylinder replacement (now encroaching on $1,200 total for my car to be fixed), it still made the grinding noise from the clutch when changing gears and while at middle-range RPM. Brought it back again (a third time) and Bob said they didn't hear anything, and returned my car. Sure enough, I still heard it so I went back a 4th and last time. He had his mechanic (Mario?) drive around the block with me and he pretended to not hear the noise at first. Then he said he does hear it actually, but it's just my old car's body rattle. So I said why would my car make body rattle only after they took and returned my car, and why is it coming from the clutch area and only under (recreatable) circumstances related to when the clutch is under load? He (Mario?) then tried to say it was my header and there was nothing they can do. To this day my car still makes awful noises from the clutch that I need to get fixed. I wouldn't consider Clover ever again. Really a shame as I used to tip well and would give Bob small gifts upon pick-up of my car. Really not sure what caused the shift in how they run things.]]Old school – hard working, knowledgeable, quick service, fair. Bob has always done me and my '97 Miata right. I'm happy I found Clover, I'm a repeat visitor for all my car needs lately. I would recommend Clover auto to a friend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My friend recommended Bob to fix my Mercedes wagon. The engine seemed to stall and sometimes sputter. Mario was nice and said it was a simple fix but would let me know before he worked on it. Two days go by and I get a call that the car was ready to be picked up. I was not told what was actually wrong with it, but was handed a $2,021.00 bill. Needless to say, I was livid! My car still stalls out and I am unsure if they worked on it at all. I brought my car to the dealer (which I hate to do because the repair costs are insane) and paid an additional $500 to have them look the car over. Looks like the car was not worked on at all. I am taking action to fix this, stay tuned

Price quote was better than Pepboys across the street, but I felt the owner was rude and told me he didn't even want to work on my car anymore because I was calling around for price quotes and time estimates (because I had to get to work). Went to Al's One Stop down the street instead. Faster time, better price quote, and much nicer customer service.
