I had taken my son there about 32 years ago when it was just a kids salon. He went there until he went to college. When it became an adult salon as well, I stated going there. I love the place. It is calm and quiet unlike most popular salons where the pace is too fast and you don’t get the personal attention that you get at Fairy Tales. The prices are fair and the stylists are all great. Nicole does my hair and she is awesome! Give it a try!?????!!

My wife took both of our children to get a fresh haircut today at this location. The woman that cut my son's hair completely butchered him. It was obvious by the result that she has no experience cutting hair. We provided a picture of his previous haircut as a template. The fade on the side of his head goes from short with no fade to long to extremely long. The top of his head has one side cut longer than the other so that it sticks up in a puffy way and the other side won't even cover his head when brush to the side and looks like a mohawk. I would stay as far away from this place as possible. Shame on the owner for allowing this type of poor quality to their paying customers. I can't overstate how disgusted I am by this place and how they ruined my 11-year-old's hair for the last few months of school. My son is depressed and crying. Shame on you! Pic of my son wearing the camo hoodie is the professional haircut from his normal barber that looks tight and is obviously done by a professional. The other photos are the new butchered weed whack job. Look how ridiculously crooked they left this kids hair. Again shame on you this is nobody's fairy tale more like a nightmare!

I got the rosemary repel and it says it's one of their best products but it gave me and my family horribly dry scalps! So bad to where we have flakes of skin coming off from our heads into our hair and it looks horrible! And we even used the conditioning spray! I spent $30 on the kit and this is what happened. Itchy dry embarrassing results. If you have eczema or sensitive skin I would NOT recommend to get it!

My family has been coming to Fairy Tales for over 25 years, my husband gets his haircut from Joey and I go to Maryanne. This place where people remember your name, staff is so friendly and welcoming. The good old day's are still happening at this place and has been a staple in our community for many years. Now my children still come here to get their haircuts and even our beautiful & wonderful grand children use the kids room to get their hair cuts. With all of these corporations taking over everything now a days, its nice to go some place that treats you like a human being and not just focused on a business transaction. So many good times at this place. Highly recommend!Service: Hairstyling

First the disclaimers. I used to bring my kids here when they were little, and the last time I was here was about 8 years ago. I asked for a hairdresser named Marianne who is the salon's colorist, but I also knew her as a very good stylist. This is going to be a long review with a lot of details because everything that could go wrong, did go wrong except for the actual cut. When I called to ask how much the cut would cost, I was told $40 for the cut plus $7 for a blowout. When I arrived at the salon I was asked if I would like my hair washed, and I said yes. I had brought along my own sulfate free shampoo and conditioner and told the young woman who was washing my hair to use as much as she felt she needed because my hair is curly long and thick. This is where things started to go wrong. The young woman did not scrub my scalp nor did she wash the back of my head at all. As far as I know she did wash my hair, but used very little product. When I left the salon with my shampoo and conditioner in hand, very little was missing from either bottle. Marianne was about 5 minutes late, no big deal. she did a nice job cutting my hair and made conversation throughout the entire process. She spent about 10 minutes cutting my hair. She did spray a small amount of some product onto the ends of my hair, but added nothing throughout the cut or when she was finished. I asked about the possibility of a blowout, and she told me that the cut alone would be $47, and that an additional blowout because of the length and thickness of my hair would be $35 more. I decided not to partake of this service, and when Marianne was finished with my hair she left it damp and frizzy. She did not offer to have me sit under a hood nor did she put any products in it for the benefit of curly hair. When I went to pay at the desk, I was told that the 15-minute haircut was the full $47, not 40 as I was quoted over the phone. I am used to paying over $100 for a cut and hair dry. My hair is not usually blown out, I sit under hood dryer for about half an hour, and then my regular hair stylist will hand dry the rest of my hair with a diffuser. several products are generally used on my hair, and I walk out of the salon feeling quite lovely, and well cared for. This did not happen at Fairy Tales. I felt as though my hair was neglected, and that the haircut was just an afterthought. Will not return.

Joey did such an amazing job with my 3 year old sons haircut. He was very patient even though my son was not cooperating very well. His hair was very knotted and he took his time and gave him an amazing new look.
