I want to take the time to thank Nikita, one of the pharmacist techs who helped guide me through getting a prescription for my 2 month old daughter through. Her absolute care and patience throughout the matter was nothing less than extraordinary. I just want to say thank you again.

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with and no not event try to speak to anybody on phone. They will keep you on hold for half an hour then pick up and hang up on you. They are horrible.

I decided to go here because it's location is close to my house but I'm reconsidering. These techs (including pharmacist) are a joke. They are lazy pieces of work who won't help you especially when they make a mistakes. Now I have to recall a doctor for a script on an important medication (again) which will take a few days with her instead of them calling it finding a way to fax for a refill Knowing that's a highly needed medication for thyroid. When I called them about the refill prior to this mess they said they have it. I even called the doctor a few days before calling them to make sure everything was fine. In short, I wasted my time going all the way there after school (2hrs away) just to be told they made a mistake, they can't refill it and that I have to call the doctor. I understood and call the doctors office but I can only reach the receptionist. They explain even on urgent it takes a few days (2 at least) for the doctor to respond. The can only note the doctor and when she gets to it she'll script it. I tried to call the pharmacy to explain and wanted to ask for a solution (fax or calling the doctor) but they just have a nasty attitude saying they can't and that's it's my responsibility to call the doctor for the script (which I have been doing). They act like they're doing me a favor which they aren't. It's a job for a reason!

I went into the pharmacy today 5/23/23 at 745pm after my daughter Dr. called her Medication into a different Duane Reade. When I came to pharmacy I asked to have her prescription transferred to Hewlett. The pharmacist said they couldn't do it for today as they close at 8pm.He never asked me if it was a medication that she couldn't miss a dose for. When I went to the pharmacy cashier another worker who was not taking care of me, by the name of Nikita F. told the cashier to not transfer my daughters prescription since they close at 8pm. I had asked if they can give partial prescription until tomorrow and Nikita insisted they never do that and I should've came in earlier or I can go to any other pharmacy I don't need to come here. I am a full time working mother who could not come earlier. Furthermore whenever I call I am placed on hold for a minimum of 15 minutes when I myself work with a vulnerable population and cannot just sit on hold. Nikita F. further told another customer that they cannot buy any other items with their prescription (which is not true) and then proceeded to allow another customer to buy items with his prescriptions after being rude to the earlier customer. Nikita had no right to tell the other cashier to not transfer my prescription and give me any attitude whatsoever. She further decided to discuss my situation with a customer after I walked away. She was absolutely unprofessional and inappropriate. I would not recommend this place and would suggest management to teach their staff customer service and the right way to handle customers. The pharmacy should have also checked to insure my daughter was ok without the medication.If I could give zero stars I would!I'm highly unimpressed!!!!

Can I give this location negative stars? The pharmacy staff is the absolute worst. The male pharmacist is great but the female pharmacist has a bigger attitude than the entire neighborhood combined. She's horrifically unhelpful, disgustingly rude, immensely sarcastic and has no issue yelling at patients or or treating them like garbage. She should not be working with patients or handling their medication. I switched pharmacies because I wouldn't trust her to handle mine. And, from what other pharmacies in the area have told me, this location has seen a lot of patients transfer out due to issues with its staff as well. I'd avoid this place at all costs; even if it means forgoing your medication for a few days.

These fucking morons should be sued and arrested for their fucking negligence and incompetence. To have a pharmacy be this fucking inaccessible is a danger to peoples health and lives. It takes at least 2 days to get in touch with them just try to call and see how that goes for you its fucking sickening to think these people are in charge of something as serious as medicine. They are extremely unreasonable if you do ever manage to get in touch with them or go in person. Wildly fucking understaffed too at the pharmacy. Walgreens/duane reade should look into shutting this store down because it will be responsible for someone's death one day I'm sure of it with the way they handle peoples medications. Getting people certain medicines that they take can be a matter of life and death and they act like its some fucking joke. Literally sick to my stomach at their behavior and how they handle everything. I don't understand how they are still in business it's genuinely disturbing.

This was such a scary experience, I had to call my psychiatrist because I couldn’t get my medicine. I kept trying to refill it in CVS, but it kept getting refilled here for some reason. I almost had to go to the hospital.

terrible store. always out of stock re: sale items. in addition, sale signs next to items not on sale to confuse customers. cashiers do not have knowledge of sale items and always get into disagreements with customers. prescriptions never on time. have to come back several times to pick up. however, if you are quick enough to get to sale items, the savings are really good. j.m/hewlett
