Very rude staff member. I have accts there. Would not notarize a simple document for my disabled elderly parent who was present. Other staff member not helpful. Was advised to go to citibank next door. Calls, emails,dm via facebook for upper management to contact me went unanswered. Would not recommend this bank.

Literally one of the worst Chase branches I've ever visited. The employees are not only rude but extremely condescending. Every visit is worse than the last. I feel the need to honestly close my account solely based off of this branch. The customer service is disgusting!

Do not bank here!! I question the integrity and ethics of the people that manage this branch on Broadway in Hewlett (not to be confused with the good Chase branches in Woodmere and in the King Kullen shopping center in Hewlett) A chase representative we were dealing with over the phone asked us to fax documentation in on an issue we were dealing with and our fax machine was broken. So she said to simply go to any Chase branch and fax the materials over as soon as possible.. so of course we went to our local Chase branch where we have been banking for decades and have both business and personal accounts. My husband, both a retired NYC firefighter ( a first responder in 9-11) and a current business owner, took the documentation and was treated very shabbily by the person that was supposed to be helping him. The person took the paperwork, rocked back and forth in his chair for about 10 minutes keeping my husband there and finally handed back the documentation and told him "nah...we can't do that" . So my husband went to another Chase (Woodmere in this case) and they were happy to do it. My husband was furious and when I called to speak to the branch manager about the treatment, the manager said that my husband refused to give ID. What..??? Not only was my husband never ever asked for ID but one of the pieces of documentation was a bank statement with our names on it! I asked the bank manager if he was sure my husband was asked for ID because there is no reason he wouldn't have shown it and the manager said to me that he was there listening and he heard my husband refuse. I was standing next to my husband, which obviously the bank manager did not realize, and he took the phone and told the manager that he was never asked for any ID and of course he would've provided it if asked, . The manager's story quickly changed . He told us it was it was a case of 'he said she said ' and then the manager said he never told me that he overheard my husband not give ID! What the heck?? He had just said that to me five seconds before! Well you know what... If you're going to lie to us about something so trivial why would I leave my money with you??? And.. if it's a case of 'he said she said ' you always go with what the customer said Instead of arguing with us!! How about showing some customer service and leadership skills and apologizing for the shoddy treatment and say that you will speak to the representative. He did not seem concerned at all when we told him we were now going to go to the bank that helped us. We both should have gone to the bank to see what the "he said, she said" story would have been with us there in person but of course I had back to back conference calls and my husband had to leave to run his business. My title at the Fortune 50 company I work for is Director of Global Management Development where we teach ethical behavior and leadership skills to 10,000 people managers worldwide. Why would I stay with a bank that has people that lack of integrity and ethics, basically called us liars, and treated us so badly without apology. Thank you but I'll pull my 7 accounts out of that branch and go with people that I can trust to do the right thing with me and my money!!
