“I finally took my brother up on joining him at Crossfit Ambition while I visit this summer. I am truly a beginner and I felt welcomed into their community. The trainers were amazing at helping me modify my workouts for my comfort and fitness level. I look forward to coming back next summer!”
“Coaches are friendly but demand the best you can do. They modify training that is appropriate to your level of fitness. The atmosphere is to encourage and achieve a level that challenges you.”

10 Franklin St, Rochester“I've been to a few studios now around the world, and this one was one of my faves!
The vibe inside is so welcoming, the staff and instructors are so friendly and helpful and the owner was also there everytime I went and SO incredibly kind! It was such a nice experience from entry to exit. After your first class you get a nice cute welcome gift too!
I did the spin classes with Breanna and Michelle, and they were lit ?. Also, those cold eucalyptus towels at the end of class are a great touch I've never experienced before, and so refreshing!!
The studio being in the vault of the old bank is pretty awesome too, it has been very well done as a studio. I wish them all the success, and I'll def be back when I'm back in Rochester✨!
Thank you for your hospitality, ladies ! ?”
“Dropped in to do a workout with a friend of mine and found this gym to be a very community oriented place. Their workout was designed to be highly scalable to your individual needs and they offered several scaling options to choose from. The warmup was unique and kind of fun. We got in a circle and each person took a turn picking a warmup movement for everyone to complete. I would caution anyone reading against picking burpees or running...this resulted in a bit of groaning from the membership.Overall, would recommend this box for drop ins because they are prompt in replying to contacts, welcoming, and provide workouts that you can easily tailor to your level.”
“I started my CrossFit journey at FCCF this past January. I’ve been loving it. The coaches are all very nice, knowledgeable, and really care about the members. It’s nice cause they scale the workouts that I can’t do yet. Everyone is supportive and welcoming. All the workouts push you and feel rewarding at the end. I always look forward to go to the gym. Love it here!”
“There are a lot of perceptions about CrossFit gyms and who these gyms are for - i want to reassure you that if you are looking to start/ continue your fitness journey - CrossFit, especially CrossFit at Great Wolf is for you!The coaches are absolutely stellar and work with you based on where you are at while also pushing you to challenge yourself and grow.Try a trial session or week and see how supportive the coaches and other members are - you’ll be hooked !”
“These guys are great! My son is 5 and he is loving his classes with Josh! You can tell Josh tries to give every kid in his class attention and help them feel included. My son is finding self-confidence and self esteem in this class and i couldn't be more thankful”

22 Winston Pl, Rochester“Sebastian is a really solid trainer. He doesn't tell me what I want to hear but he does tell me what I need to hear. I've known him for a while now and really appreciate his no nonsense approach to a difficult client like myself.”
“Love the concept of Power Train. Steve is a good trainer. Really pushes you throughout the session. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to get into shape or get ready for the upcoming season (sports).”
“Love this gym! The people are very welcoming and open to athletes of all levels. Rob is a great coach that understands scaling for skill but also injuries, and he celebrates everyone’s individual successes.”
“I began attending Wolf Brigade in July of 2022. Within the past six months, I’ve surmounted physical and mental challenges I previously thought to be unattainable. All of the trainers are intelligent, vigilant, and well informed people who provide excellent guidance and critique. The sense of community and friendship I’ve found within the others who attend the gym has been profound. Everyone is welcoming and kind.Class is well structured and militant- a challenge off the bat which becomes easier as time goes on. The trainers make sure you have all the tools you need, and peers help along the way as well.I’ve had serious shoulder dislocation injuries from snowboarding, and the trainers have adjusted the programming to fit my specific set of needs. So, don’t be deterred if you are physically limited in a similar respect, there are options and ways to rebuild old injuries and circumvent future ones.10/10, love it here, highly suggest at the very least giving it a shot.”
“This is unquestionably the best gym in the area, if not all of New York. Visited from Chicago and everyone was very kind. The owner Jim was great to meet, as well as his staff, and Dave showed us a lot of the history of the gym. Cannot recommend it more. We will be back God willing.Thank you!”

“The OTF Rochester Team all around is outstanding!! From the SA's, to the Coaches, to the Community within the studio everybody makes it a warm place to go. Since I joined in June 2023, I have changed my life in many ways and been able to keep up with it from the constant push I get from the coaches. Everyday there is a feeling of excitement to go to the next class. Just come check it out for yourself!!”
“For anyone looking to challenge themselves physically, I highly recommend joining CrossFit RSG. The coaches are some of the most kind hearted and motivating individuals. Sommer and I jumped into this sport without a clue of what we were getting ourselves into and found one of the strongest support systems for CrossFit in the greater Rochester area. CrossFit RSG, you guys rock!!”
“I go to the core classes on Wednesdays. Sometimes spin. The core classes are insane. As an instructor, Barb is just the right brand of sadistic. Top-tier workouts.”
“I was in town visiting a friend and decided to stop by for a lift. This was hands down the coolest gym I’ve ever seen, and I was a D1 athlete at Penn State and have seen many world class gyms. The staff was extremely nice and so were the guests. They have every piece of equipment you could think of. I want to go back soon!”
“Had an amazing first day! Good size facility, nice, easy, accessible equipment. They're good on cleanliness and sanitation.?? Staff is welcoming and friendly, there to answer any questions you have and willing to help at anytime. ? Definitely will be coming back as a regular.”
“MCCF is a fun gym with knowledgeable coaches and great programming. I dropped in for a week while I'm relocating to the area and getting settled. Chris and the other coaches are there to support you and help you learn movements and improve. Highly recommend.”
“When my gym spontaneously closed, I genuinely believed I would never find a workout or gym climate I enjoyed that much ever again. After a month of sitting on the couch, I dragged my feet (kicking and screaming and whining) to Burn Pittsford and I've been hooked ever since. If my old gym reopened tomorrow, I would stay at Burn (sorry, old gym). The instructors are welcoming and encouraging, pushing me to go further and dig deeper. Despite being plagued with near constant illness this fall/winter, I've been excited to get on a routine and get to the gym whenever I am feeling well. it makes me happy to get up at 6am.I absolutely love Burn and appreciate the community greatly (even though I am not a high five kind of person lol). Thanks for taking my workouts to the next level!”
“For the past 9 months I have had the pleasure of experiencing personal training services at Dew-It-Fitness, and I must say that I was blown away by the exceptional quality of the training and commitment Paul provides. Paul and his wife own this gym and also offer other services like hosting fitness classes. I would highly recommend any of the services they provide. What sets Paul apart from others is not only his intelligence but also his outstanding work ethic. He is continuously up to date with the latest fitness and health methods and is always willing to take extra time to work on mobility or movement issues if there are any signs of strain, pain, or weakness. He truly goes above and beyond just striving to help me obtain my goals, but also goes beyond the basic expectation and role of a personal trainer. Moreover, Paul is very patient and brings positive energy to every personal training session. He has transformed my fitness level, but he has also transformed my lifestyle with the encouragement he provides during each session. I find myself pushing my limits every session, which I never thought I could do before. Overall, I highly recommend this gym and the services they provide. If you are looking for experienced and dedicated trainers who can guide you towards your fitness goals and transform your life, this gym is the perfect place to start.”
“Beautiful park that is easy to access. It is a fairly easy hike. The trees and water are beautiful. Live to igloo made of branches.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome on leashes. I've met a lot of friendly dogs and their owners.”
“Just had my 3rd workout here, and maybe my 5th workout in 10 years. The coaches push you hard enough to make you stronger, and just light enough to prevent complete collapse... slightly kidding. Super fun atmosphere, challenging workouts for any level of fitness. 6:00am is where its at, get here.”
“I was in town for the week for work and was looking for a place to practice yoga. I ran across Candace's website and thought it would be a great place to try. Although the practice was different than what I have done in the past, it was a great experience as I had never been to a serenity yoga class. She is so welcoming and good at what she does I left her class extremely energized and relaxed. My only regret is that I may not get back there to experience one of her classes again in the near future due to my work schedule.”
“I walked in cold/off the street today to find out more about the studio. The staff was amazing!! So helpful; so encouraging. I’m excited to start my fitness journey with this studio & community. Shout out to Autum for the fantastic tour and walking me through the awesome app.Update: I just took my first class. It was awesome! I’m starting my fitness journey at 0 (nothing) and have a long way to go. But coach David was great. I left class feeling like the journey will be challenging - but so worth it. I also left with the confidence I can do it! ?”
“Visiting this weekend and dropped in to get my butt whooped. The coach is super knowledgeable with great attention to detail on technique. The class had about 8 others so it was large enough to be a lot of fun but not so large it was crowded. Every single person was kind and uplifting of everybody else. From management to the members this place is a class act. Stop in if you’re ready to get in the best shape of your life with awesome people to cheer you on!”

“I love working out at Ruckhouse. Chris is so motivating! The classes are fun and engaging. Chris offers modifications so that you can participate at any fitness level. Classes change up so that you never get board. Great location- great welcoming space.”
“The staff was very nice and answered my questions. The club was spotlessly cleaned and I liked that cleaning spray bottles and wipes were there for patrons to use also and easy to find.”
