My husband & I bought 2 doors ( one basement exterior & kitchen security screen door ) Since the security screen door was put in, we've had problems with it. Air & water leaks. We called the company & told us that how security doors are & call manufacturer. We did & they didn't understand why they gave us their number. I won't use the company again or recommend them to anyone.

It was an easy process to order my new garage door. It was supposed to be installed in mid-January but ended up coming right before Christmas. We are very pleased with the outcome. The installer was respectful, on time and left no mess. I would definitely use United Hone Remodeling again as well as refer them.

We had an exterior steel door installed.The measurements that were taken when the the door was ordered were incorrect and the pre-hung door (with frame) that was delivered wouldn't fit correctly where the old door sat.However, the installer was able to cut out a 1/2 inch on the top, and left and right sides of the exiting wood framing in order to correctly place the new door and frame.When finished with the installation, the old exterior trim around the top and sides of the door frame was capped with white aluminum sheets and sealed around the edges with the house siding.

We started to work with Unified Home Remodeling after having concerns with our old contractor’s slow response and poor communication during a past project. We appreciated Unified’s timely response to our requests, questions or concerns during our siding and window replacement project. Issues were corrected immediately and the finished product was everything we were hoping for.

We have completed 2 remodeling projects with Unified over the past year. Each time we have worked with incredible people from start to finish. We love all the finished work and wonder why we didn't do it sooner. Everyone at Unified does a wonderful job of getting to know you so they really understand what you want.

Never made it to the point of them doing work on our home but wouldn’t want them to anyway after the terrible customer service that was given just to get an estimate done in completion. The company representative came to our house (Anthony) and only took measurements for one out of the five things that I requested to be done for our home improvement project. He never got back to me with a cost on the one thing that he measured until I had to talk to another customer service representative and also reach back out to him again. When he was questioned on the other measurements on the things I requested he had no idea. He never got back to me after that. Needless to say we never used this horrible company. I do not recommend them at all if we can’t even get good customer service prior to the project even being measured. If I could give zero stars I would. Ended up going with another company and had a beautiful job done on my home.

I have not had the best of service. The wrong shutters were installed on my home. I had asked for them to order new shutters. I have been checking in to see when the shutters would be delivered. I have proof of correspondence. I have been told on many occasions that someone would follow up with me and never hear back from anyone. At this time I have been charged for shutters I didn't want AND THEY WERE INSTALLED ON MY HOUSE. So that means, there were holes drilled into the new siding for shutters I did not agree to. It is not the fault of the workers who installed it, but of the project manager who ordered the wrong shutters fully knowing it wasn't want I wanted. They had mentioned that they didn't have what I wanted to they ordered something similar without checking in first. To say that I'm infuriated by the situation would be an understatement. I'd appreciate it if management will call me back.

This is the second door purchase and install we got through Unified and we are extremely happy with the purchase and professional installation. The door we had before never closed correctly and it is a pleasure to know that the door is secured and working properly. We strongly recommend Unified and will make this our go-to for our next home project. Thank you Unified!

They installed a new garage door and a new front door. I'm a bit disappointed overall with the product and level of service. I would not use them again. I could understand taking 6 months to get them installed instead of the 8 weeks because of the supply chain issues, but the installation and product quality is most disappointed. For the installation they sent one technician and no helper, so he struggled all day getting things installed, and that probably contributed to the problems i have had with the garage door and the front door.During the installation of the garage door the technician broke one of the safety sensors the first time he brought the door down. I was there and I heard a loud slam. He got a replacement sensor from the office but could not get it to work. I offered to help him troubleshoot it with my voltmeter, but declined and said that his sensors were not compatible with my garage door opener. I fixed it myself by ordering new sensors from Amazon. I could not operate the door for almost a week while I waited for the sensors to arrive. The real reason the replacement sensors did not work is that he pinched a wire with the frame for the garage door. I attached a picture. With the front door they installed a flimsy lock with an adjustable strike plate that would not stay in place causing the deadbolt lock not to line up with its strike plate. They came back to fix it. Their solution was not to replace the failing strike plate, he used a dremel tool to make the hole in the other strike plate bigger. That only lasted a week. I replaced the strike plate myself and no more problems. Their technicians were not capable of solving the problems, so I had to fix them myself. Luckily I am good mechanically so I can handle these things but others may be stuck hiring someone else to fix issues like these or putting up with ongoing problems. The last issue with the front door is that it already started squeaking after just 5 months.Service: General door installation

I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND anyone to use them. Unified of Hempstead did my whole house with siding and DID NOT do a very good job. They installed the wrong trim color around the windows and doors. Also I noticed a couple of months after the job was completed that they had put the wrong color on two parts of the house. This was brought to their attention and I was told that it would be taken care of which it never was even after about 10 or 11 times talking to them over ten years. Finally they sent the same subcontractor by, that had done the siding and roof and he said that he would have to order another sleeve of siding to replace the wrong color. Well three or four months go by and nothing. Now during this time I noticed spots on the ceiling in one of the upstairs rooms and also near the entrance of the front door. I removed the ceiling sheetrock where it was damp and noticed mold and mildew on the ceiling beams and insulation. The roof apparently had been leaking all these years since the roof was done. So I went by their office again and again to talk about the roof. Every time I was told that the boss or person in charge was out. Finally they said that for someone to come by again to check on it I had to pay them $80.00 dollars. They stated that the money would be refunded if they did not fix the leak. I paid. They sent a repairman by and he put sealer on the sidling near the roof stating that he thinks the water in entering there. So here we are all these years later and the roof still leaks and the siding is still the wrong color. I guess I owe all these problems to Joe Magarci and about two or three other later so called bosses at UNIFIED. As I stated earlier "I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND anyone to use them". I would give them a zero star if I could. I have had my home in Hempstead for 38 years and lived in the village for over 42 years; we here do not need a business like this in Hempstead. Sam Mott

We had Unified put in windows about ten years ago... These windows are horrible to say the least. I have called at least 20 times for repairs for these inferior drafty windows. Of course there is a fee.. a expensive fee, $100 to start for every time we needed Unified to fix what they did wrong. The staff in the Hempstead store was mediocre at best. However, they weren't too rude. They weren't empathetic to my problems with their products. Don't use Unified for anything. Avoid having the problems I'm having with windows that should have lasted a lot longer. It's actually colder in my house with these windows than it is outside. Please save your money if you need upgrades or replacements on anything in your house, don't consider Unified. Use a company that uses better products.. and stand behind their workmanship. That is not Unified. Save yourself from a headache and problems, don't call or consider Unified. Hopefully Unified will be forced to closed so they won't be taking money for horrible products and poor workmanship.

Horrible experience with them. I understand prices are more competitively priced you but the drop off in service and speed of service is horrendous. Ordered 4 windows which took 4 months to get installed. Then installed, they put the wrong windows in. I ordered windows with grids but the windows only had grids on the bottom. It's not been a month. Waiting for them to fix this. To top it off when I tried to withhold a portion of the payment to ensure I get the right windows the manager threatened to sue. Horrible, horrible. Pay the extra money and get quality service and windows.
