“I have enjoyed buying wines from Daniel Posner/Grapes for 20+ years. While I definitely do not agree with all of his recommendations, his wine knowledge is encyclopedic; more importantly, his wine prices are very competitive. If you can survive his delusional writing about the Jets during football season and just pay attention to his deals, you will be as satisfied as I have been. Really should be 4.7 Stars but that's not an option.”

They are always recommending bottles that seem adventurous to the palette but are worth taking the risk!! “Gigantic, and the inventory is insane. It's impressive enough to wow people who come up from the city. The add-on restaurant and brewery are nice too. Drinking beer out at the big picnic tables by the Sheldrake River (I should say "river") is the best.
I'm taking off a star cuz they are always out of the one thing that I come here to buy, Dr Brown's diet cherry soda There's a big hole in the shelf in the same spot every time. They could order more but they don't for some reason. Pure luck whether they have it or not.”
“Okay this is the place to go for all of your liquor needs or if you need to pick something up before dinner at a friend's house. They have one of the largest selections of wines, champagne, hard liquor, etc. that you can find in the area. The prices are decent and the folks in the store know their stuff and try to help you out. They have a lot of wine that's labeled with ratings and descriptions so you can choose the best one that suits your taste. There's a parking lot and folks are usually in and out.”
“Full disclosure: I've only placed one online order with Bottle Grove, so I can't speak to the experience of shopping there physically. But what an excellent experience I had.I placed an order in late August 2023. Within minutes, I received an email from Chris that the following week would be too hot to safely ship wine, but that if this was an urgent order, they could make it happen. I never would have thought of this, and never would have expected a vendor to put this much thought into their fulfillment. I accepted their offer to hold shipment until the weather turned around, and received a follow-up note confirming the bottle was gift wrapped and shipped (with tracking number provided!) from another member of the team, Matthew.Bottle Grove is doing customer service and fulfillment the right way! Thank you!”

“Definitely my favorite liquor and wine store in the area. The selection is nicely curated, and the store is well organized. The woman working here is so incredibly nice and helpful. Cheerful. I like the blue dog decor everywhere. Be sure to look up and observe the flags, which help organize the wines. But be sure also to ask for a lay of the land, as you might find some options you would not have noticed otherwise.”
“Such a great selection of spirits, including gins, of course the best wines, bourbons, specialty cocktails and much much more; a great atmosphere, and the friendliest and most knowledgeable helpers this side of Texas! Joe, Heidi, Stacey, and Michelle are there to give you the scoop on these spirits from across the globe, and most times will have an open bottle to sip and try for yourself. Numerous wine tastings (on Saturdays) and treats for your best friend are extra benefits. I never come away without a smile on my face and usually with my best new favorite spirit or wine in tow. He's both a military and law enforcement combat veteran, and loves the Old Pappy VW bourbon. Piermont Fine Wine and Spirits quickly secured a bottle for me at a great price!! This place has a fantastic, diverse portfolio of international wines at great price points. (I’ve noticed I’ve been ripped off by some other local purveyors and shops who apply silly, unfounded markups… they shall remain nameless but it’s terrible!) I LOVE their detailed notes on each bottle and the care they take to do their research. It’s really clear to see this spot was opened with real dedication. “Very clean, bright, open store with several varieties of wine, from all price ranges. Some well known value brands and more niche labels. Prices are appropriate. Variety is just right. Also has a liquor section with everything from lower shelf to high shelf stuff! The staff is so nice and helpful! And they also do delivery through Drizly. The order always arrives quickly and well packaged. They really put thought into how they do business. This is now my go-to wine shoppe when in the Westchester/Bronxville area.”
