The Pureganic Cafe
305 Halstead Ave, HarrisonWe dined there 2nd time and loved more than the first time. We now try to go to pure vegetarian restaurants to avoid any doubts whether they are mixing up food and/or frying veg and non-veg in the same oil (Some use lard to fry!) So we were quite happy to discover this place. It’s owned and run by an Egyptian woman married to. Keira’s guy, we were told. She’s on a mission to use only organic ingredients, make everything delicious and healthy. We had carrot ginger soup, followed by ramen salad bowl. We asked then to warm up the veggies and it felt like hot ramen soup. We also had pecan tart, oat/Flax seed crackers and dark chocolate (to die for, per my wife) We were quite full and we know from first time that we would not have digestive issues, as is the case with many restaurants. We definitely received them highly. In fact, we are contemplating trying their meal plan for a couple of weeks.

Quenas Restaurant
109 Halstead Ave, HarrisonQuenas pays a lot of attention to detail. In addition to being fresh and tasty, the food and beverages are so beautifully decorated. Sometimes they run out of items, but I take this as an indication that they don't rely on a big, old supply of stale or frozen ingredients that are lying around. Our server kindly brought us complimentary holiday after-dinner sips. It's the little things that make the difference here.

7 Harrison Ave, HarrisonAll I can say is WOW! They have an awesome team. Very relaxed and knowledgeable. We made an appointment prior to an adoption event and brought our adult pup with us so she could choose her new roommate. We found our new pup within an hour and the adoption paperwork was completed within 30 min. Awesome experience, definitely see their website for info on the animals and fill out the adoption application in advance.
