“Was initially worried as we were coming up for the eclipse and most other places to stay were out of our budget. The room was clean, the showers were hot, the bed was nice, and it was convenient to get in and out. Surpassed our expectations and will most likely stay here if we make the trip back up to visit Niagara/Buffalo again.”

“My wife & I booked a stay by calling the hotel directly while we were still 6 hours away. We had been driving 24 hours already from Texas, moving up to Buffalo. The apartments we wanted were not an option for us anymore.

We needed a place to stay ASAP for a week while we found a new home in our new state. We booked for 6 nights with our pets.

The woman we talked to was very nice and informative. She helped us book up everything, and we were glad our pets wouldn't be a problem. We even told them we had vet records if needed.

We got into our room last night at 1:30 am. We were so grateful to be out of the car, and so were the furry ones. The check-in process was very easy. The fella at the front desk was kind, professional, and informative about the area when I asked some questions.

Now, for people expecting a modern building, just realize these buildings are older. That does not mean they are bad by any means, just older. We are easy to please. We just wanted a clean & safe place to lay our heads while we get our bearings from power driving across 7 states in a little less than 36 hours with pets in the car.

You can just tell the building is older but well maintained. Which never bothers us. The air conditioner took a bit to switch to cool from warm air blowing. It took about an hour for the air to steadily come out cooler, then cold. Not too bad amount of time for such a large in room air conditioning and heating combo unit. Once it did, we are quite comfortable now.

We slept comfortably at a nice cool temp in the whole room. I can tell you if it were winter and snowing out, this unit would kick out some glorious heat. Don't worry about that if you are booking a winter stay. (Coming from a person who is from South/Central Texas.

We haven't used housecleaning yet bc we just woke up from our first night. I will update after our stay ends.

Initial impressions: (07-27-2024):

If you need a safe, quiet, clean place to crash while traveling with a decent shower, easy to get into and out of rooms and parking lot, with friendly kind front desk people, You cannot go wrong with this Motel 6.

The wifi in our room seems decent so far, and so does our AT&T cellular signal. (We come from a rural area where any cellular signal is more of a suggestion than a given lol)

We don't have children, so I can't speak to how they would find it here.

If you are looking for anything more amenities wise, you might feel underwhelmed. But please don't count this place out. For our first introduction to Western NY, this is definitely a wonderful one.

Rooms: Clean, meets basic needs, spacious, the beds are firm yet comfortable to us, the sheets & blankets are clean and neat, the laminate flooring is clean, and the bathroom is clean too.

Noteworthy details: The buildings are all one floor. There is about a 6-8 inch step up into our room. We appreciate one floor as we both have problems with stairs due to knee surgeries. (We are in our early 40's). I think the elevated step up into the room is due to the snow that can build up in winter to help keep it out of the room.

The one floor buildings mean getting into the parking lot, and parking directly in front of your door is possible.

I don't know yet, but I assume they have rooms available that are wheelchair accessible. If you are solo traveling with a wheelchair and had a ramp to help you into a room like ours, then you might be able to get in here without assistance.”

“Acceptable place to stay. The beds are not queens they are full sized. Really tight for 2 adults. Does not sleep well because of the beds. If it was just 2 of us, we each would have taken a bed. They have no issues with dogs, but they have signs to pick up after your dog, but the poop stations have no bags. We travel with plenty, thank goodness.”
