The cats are great. I volunteered there for a short time and after a some time, I didn't feel good about it. The human element there needs work. There is a lack of kindness regarding people and when I was there, I felt ineffective, just tossed into the mix to sink or swim. I couldn't feel good about my commitment to helping. So I stopped. The cats are beautiful babies though.

I've been visiting Heart Animal Rescue for over a year in a half now, trying to socailize some of the younger cats to become more friendlier. One cat has been there the whole tiime I've been coming.
She was foster as a kitten and came back to the rescue for adoption but never found her forever home. Just recently during a visit I was told she was a Barn Cat and no longer there. This news broke my heart. She was not a good candidate for a Barn Cat. Barn cats are mostly feral cats with good hunting skills. They are used to living outside and would not do well in a home. Without proper care they will be more susceptible to disease, parasites and malnutrition. Barn cats are prey to other predators and get hit by cars. They've a lower lifespan then a house cat. I'm not against having barn cats but they are usually feral cats from trap, neutered / spay and release programs. She was just a shy
young cat learniing how to interact and play with humans in a overcrowed cat rescue. She was becoming more friendlier and giving me eye winks / kisses. She didnt deserved this.

They are so nice. We adopted one of our cats from them 7 years ago. We felt welcome. There were a lot of people there. The first time we went by, there was no parking. The second time we went by on the way back, a man all dressed up who was wearing cat ears waved us into our parking space. Mewvelous!

Attended a meat raffle for this place and was given a flyer to help rescue cats. Have called almost every day. No answer machine is full. Worst place ever in my opinion.

They told me I was guilty of negligent homicide because my cat that I didn't even get from them jumped out of my arms and out an open door and didn't come back. Told me they would never let me adopt from them because I'm negligent, irresponsible, and can't be trusted with the safety of an animal. They don't know that I slept in the woods for two weeks and did everything in my power to get him to come back. This cat was a street cat and would straight up ignore me and I could not catch him no matter what I did.I love and miss my baby and pray that he's safe somewhere, but I connected with a cat there while looking for him wanted to try to move on and love another cat in the meantime after it had been over a month since my first cat ran away.I understand and appreciate what they do for animals, but I have no respect for the way they treated me after leading me on and acting like they understood my pain. I can't speak for the company as a whole, but I don't know if I trust anything who would allow this kind of attitude as their business model.
