I gotta be honest here.I have tried to order from this place three times prior WAY early in the day (like 12PM) and could never get a pizza until like 8PM which is unacceptable, so I just never did.I finally was able to order two pizzas a day and a half in advance and it just wasn't worth it - the pizza is just average, very greasy too (even the plain cheese). My score would be more a 3/5 if it wasn't for these ridiculous queues. There never seems to be too many orders at a given time and it just seems like the kitchen is just operating at a slower pace (which is fine if that's what they're going for - I am not a fan of overworking the staff).Ultimately, it's just the most average spot and I would probably never order from here again because of the longer than long wait times. For what it's worth, Milano's down the road has better value/quality and is vastly superior.

Quick review. I just called this establishment at 1:30pm today. I wanted to order a large Florentine pizza pie that I would be picking up (as soon as it is ready). The young lady told me that I would not be able to pick up the order until 8:00pm tonight. Seriously?

Best Sausage Pizza in the Capital District. Been going there for a very long time. Their Pizza Sauce is like no other. And the Antipasto is wonderful.

After my second visit to Marisa's Place I decided to write a review. Myself being in the restaurant business for over fifty years I just know the way it should be. Marisa's has the best pizzas and Italian food I have ever had. Their Eggplant Parm is to die for. Quality ingredients and well prepared. Can't say enough for the food. The owner attempts to successfully give service to the bar, which is approximately a 10 stool bar with several side tables, plus the dinning room with approximately 6 tables, total capacity about 26. She seems to being a good job, but then everything falls apart. Dirty dishes are not being cleared, and very poor service. One person can not do it properly. When we left, our table and all the other ones were left covered with dirty plates. At my restaurant a check could not be dropped until the table was cleared and the customers were asked for coffee and desert. I was dying for a cup of coffee but was never asked. When we got the check there was a 25% tip added on. We were never told and did not check it and added another 25% on. You would think we would catch on because the same thing happened 6 weeks prior. On our two visits a total of 16 people we spent over $1,000. & double tipping. I feel that the owner is just a little too greedy and not as honest as a business owner should be. Besides all this the wine pours are very short and we were missing a chicken parm dinner which we were charged for. It brakes my heart to write such a crappy review, but it's the truth and you should know. Hopefully things will change there. Gary Krause

I'd prefer to say this place is terrible so we can continue to get the take-out slots we need, but I can't. Marisa's is the best pizza we've had in years, including the last 10 years we were in Brooklyn. Granted, 2 of those years were pandemic years, and we just didn't go out, and we never went back to Totonno's after it burned down, and we gave up on di Fara's when it became such a hipster lawn-chair tourist production, but our neighborhood spots were good. Two of them were, anyway (we also stopped going to Beverly after the crust fiasco). Anyway, Marisa's is heaven, full stop. I dream of the day we feel secure going out to a sit-down-inside place and trying everything else on the menu. Their crust is magnificent, their sauce is spectacular, and the topping ingredients are truly lovely. But you do have to call early to get the take-out slot you want; no crying and whinging that you had to wait two hours for your pizza. It's also not cheap, so no complaining about that. Read the instructions on the website, then respect the owners enough to do as they say. Do it. Do it now. Call them. They're only open 4 days a week, and we're lucky to get them that much. I already regret writing this review bc a) I now really want pizza, and b) if you're smart, you've already called and taken our preferred time for pickup.

My favorite place in the 518 for Pizza. The wait is worth it! Thin, crispy and fresh tasty ingredients. Closest to NYC style you can find upstate. Best to call in the morning for a pick up time. Only open 4 days a week. 7.9 from El Presidente. Good stuff!

The waitress needs to learn how to greet people with a more welcoming presence. The food was poor quality very under seasoned and plain not what I would expect from an Italian restaurant. Having to purchase bread was also ridiculous most restaurants include it in the meal. Probably wouldn’t dine here again.

Marisa’s Place serves up really wonderful food. Their pizza is phenomenal! The pizza has a thin crust and a flavorful sauce. They serve many kinds of specialty pizzas as well. Check out the menu online. The restaurant is take out only.Marisa’s has a different kind of ordering system. You have to call ahead to reserve a time to pick up your food. It is best to call early to make sure that you can get the food at the time you want. Once you get to the restaurant parking is very easy and your name comes up on a TV screen that you can see from outside the restaurant. Then you just walk in and get your food.Make sure you check the hours of the restaurant so you know when to place your order. The staff was helpful and friendly. If you love pizza and great food don’t miss this place!Vegetarian options: Had a salad that was very good. You might need to ask staff to remove some ingredients depending on what you want.Parking: The restaurant is located in strip mall with plenty of parking, especially on the weekends.

The food here is incredible! The woman up front is so kind! The kitchen takes a little while but it is worth it! We sad inside for the first time and it’s beautiful. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and it was decorated so cozy for the holidays. We had a couple pizzas and hot subs. Never disappoints!

Pizza is fairly good but isn’t worth the baggage in my opinion. You need to call hours ahead and be lectured about the limited size of their ovens every time. Pizza is overpriced, every topping even something like oil or garlic is $3.50. One pizza can cost over $30 dollars. Also depending on who is at the register they make you feel like they are doing you a favor by getting one of their pizzas not that your the customer and thanks for stopping in. They stopped their ridiculous one person in the store at a time policy so I won’t mark off for that inconvenience.
