“We were looking for a travel stroller and my wife had three picked out. We wanted to see them in person and check them out. Looked up google maps and found this store. They had all the strollers to check out. Allie was very helpful and their price was the best. They offered 15% off retail price and 15% off theAccessories to the stroller. Very pleased. “This shop is an easy five star based on their inventory, staff knowledge and overall great atmosphere to shop in. Willis Hobbies has been around MIneola since 1949. Not only have they been a fabric of the community but they always show their commitment to Mineola through their participation in Village events. If you can think of it.... You'll find it here. Plenty of electric cars, models (that go up to 2,000 pieces), lots of model trains and trains-accessories. The beauty of the shop is that the team here are experts. Depending what you're looking for will determine who you speak with. There is value shopping in a store that understands your needs and advices you accordingly. They always set up race cars at the MIneola Street to become more involved and engaged with the residents. In summation... there are good people here. KUDOs top the team at Willis Hobbies.”
“The owners know all their products and are very experienced with importing merchandise that otherwise might be difficult to attain here in the States. From Transformers to Gundam, from Power Rangers to Ultraman, from One Piece to Jujutsu Kaisen, they’ve quite literally have it all. My brother and I will be frequenting this spot quite a lot in the near future and I hope anybody that is even remotely interested in shopping collectibles or hobby items that you will give this place a chance and fall in love with the atmosphere as did my brother and I!!”

“What kid doesn't love going to the LEGO STORE. Wish I had enough money to buy all the sets my kids want. So many sets I want for myself! Lego is part educational, so I'd much rather spend money on Legos than some toy that will end up in the basement. (Photo of special event cat)”
“Nice little bookstore, not an enormous selection, but they have a lot of current books, and some best sellers, and you can always ask them to get the book you're looking for. I usually find at least one book I'm interested in. Good children's section in the back as well, with cushions for the little ones to sit at and read. The people working there are always very friendly and helpful.”
“I love this variety card and gift store. They have almost everything including lottery. I never walk out without buying something. There Willow Tree collection is so up to date. I love gazing at them. Of course I buy one here and there. There cards are plentiful and beautiful. Have fun there.”

“No weekend is complete without a run to 5 Below. It's always for something that's needed like a phone charger cord and then I wind up seeing so many other things that I feel like I must have. This location is usually pretty well stocked and the staff is friendly. Every once in a while they're short handed up front but they seem to make it work. On this trip I got pillows and a throw for my guest bedroom because they were super cute and affordable. I also bought another bookcase/organizer because I used one of theirs for my pop up shop set up and it works really great. Even though some things are more than $5 most of my items were actually $5. If you have a very small child, I'm warning you they have lots of cute toys and a lot of candy especially near the checkout so either prep them before you go in or don't bring them.”

Pete, the owner has been very knowledgeable and honest from my experience. I’ve since traveled the island checking out other shops. I alway find myself coming back to this one. “Don't be fooled by the seemingly small storefront - this toy store has so much selection inside and so neatly organized. My kids and I were warmly greeted upon entering and offered help. Staff were all so friendly and kind. Great place to buy gifts for kids' birthday parties. I especially loved that they carry Usborne activity books!”

The woman in the store (sorry, but I never got your name) was extremely helpful and friendly. I was able to get gifts for both and I feel confident that the girls will enjoy them. “Heard about this store from the LI Teachers group on FB. Greatest little find. Store has teacher supplies throughout but most of it is concentrated in the back. The woman at the register is extremely helpful. If you can’t find something, just ask her, she will let you know if they have any more in the back or if the are ordering more supplies. They also laminate anything you buy for free. Plus teachers get a 15% discount. Great store and customer service.”
“I visit Miller's every time I need a gift for a younger person. In a world of online shopping NOTHING beats walking into Millers and picking out a special gift that you will not find anywhere else! Their clothing, shoes, toys, infant section, educational items, bicycles are top notch! Not to mention, their customer service cannot be compared to any other business. Once again, I went to Millers to pick up a special baby gift. After my selection {of beautiful baby clothes/blanket/books/soft dolls}, Nadine offered to package, wrap AND mail out the gift for me! So convenient and Nadine & Crew are so pleasant! Miller's is a special place, their kindness, customer service and selection of quality children's items makes them a tremendous asset to Westchester County!”

“What an awesome toy store! I was visiting family in Long Island for a few days when my aunt and I went shopping for Christmas. There was a great variety of options and all of the employees were so lovely, especially Morgan! She helped my aunt and I figure out what to get my siblings and cousins for Christmas and she was very fun to talk to. There hasn’t been a toy store in person that I’ve seen in a while like this one and I recommend to anyone in the area for sure.”
