I have been a huge fan of this shop for more years than I can remember, and in all those years, I have never been disappointed. The premium, extra-virgin, olive oil oils, and their natural balsamic vinegar are beyond compare. Not only are they perfect for personal use, but these oils and vinegars make perfect gifts whether it’s for a special occasion or just dropping by for a visit … definitely more long lasting and more appreciative than a cake or a box of cookies.

We went on a Saturday and we got “buy something or GTFO vibes.” Lady had a strange attitude towards us like she was doing us a huge favor answering our questions. Killed the vibe in Greenport. We ended up buying stuff but left a sour taste and would never go back here.

I like this place for all the different vinegars. They are very high quality and I love the different flavors. They have good snacks as well, like the truffle oil popcorn, which is quite strong - eat in small quantities!You can actually bring your bottles back and have them refilled so you don't have to purchase new ones each time. I really appreciate this aspect. We visit every summer and I go every year.

I, too, experienced some curt behavior from the sales associate over the holiday weekend. No one but my husband and I were in the store. It was my second time there and I wanted to introduce my husband to this gem of a store. However, the sales associate was so curt that my husband walked out. I ended up buying some oils but felt like I was putting the associate out for wanting a product. Sad to have to reinforce these reviews about poor service.

I've been to this store a few times when traveling in the area and every time it's been a great experience. The people in the store are very knowledgeable about their offerings and made some great suggestions that we used that night for dinner. The Italian Herb dipping oil, a fresh bread and pasta was a terrific meal. We were able to taste several samples until we found the one we liked best. Everyone was friendly and I can't wait to get back to restock soon!

An older woman working there was unfriendly to the point of glaring at us. We were helped by a very nice young man who couldnt have been more gracious and somewhat made up for the bad vibes generating from the older woman there. If not for him we would have left. Why work with the public if you dont like them? You're in business to make people feel welcome. This aint the Carnegie Deli.

I recently had the occasion to place an order with a lovely shop, Vines and Branches in Greenport, and I wanted to share my experience. I received a coupon for a 10% discount for online orders, so I decided to go that route. Not being very “techie” I couldn’t get my order to go through. It was well after store hours, but I decided to send an email hoping I could resolve the problem the following day. Much to my surprise, within a few minutes, I received a call from Rita, the store owner. She couldn’t have been more pleasant or more helpful. She tried to assist me in placing the order, and when that was unsuccessful, she was willing to take my order over the phone. I told her I would come to the shop the following day as I live nearby. Luckily, I tried once again and was successful in submitting the online order. The next morning, Rita called once again. She wanted to confirm some discrepancies in my order and in the process, she made some some very helpful suggestions! What wonderful customer service. We’re so lucky to have such a unique shop in our community!

"Oh hello?" Was all we got. I wondered if I interrupted the women tapping away on a laptop. Didn't even help us as we entered the store ...waited still no help . We had to eventually just walk out since this is a business we're you have to actually taste an try the product before you purchase. May I also add we were excited for them to open up this morning because the olive oil health properties are important to my husbands health issues an we are looking to incorporate it into his lifestyle. So this was a bummer. Clearly edited to clarify completely as the owner posted immediately after my review. Thank you

My husband and I visited Vines & Branches this past summer, while visiting Greenport, NY. We were delightfully greeted by the manager, who strongly recommended the Lemongrass Mint White Balsamic. I loved it so much I have ordered it a number of times for me and family, as I live in Virginia Beach. Recently, I ordered again along with another flavor (Cucumber Melon) and when it arrived the bottle was broken, actually shattered! I called the store to share what happened, not expecting anything as it was obvious it was not their fault. They immediately sent me another bottle, free of charge and would not even let me pay for shipping!!! Outstanding products along with above and beyond customer service. Please make it a point to visit this store, I assure you it will be worth it.

This is one of the destination shops on the East End. The selection of high quality products with very reasonable prices is outstanding. While the balsamic vinegars and olive oil products are incredible, I am absolutely hooked on the various mustards that are sold. But the greatest asset of this store is the owner who is gracious, knowledgeable, and genuinely pleasant. I drive from Old Field every so often to stock up! Thanks for being the consummate independent small store owner!

Braved the frigid weather yesterday to make it to Greenport’s Vines & Branches because I had completely run out of their Traditional Dark Balsamic vinegar and Koroneiki extra virgin olive oil to serve with dinner last night. So glad I did—and so was my salad! Excellent product as always and of course a staff that was welcoming as ever and eager to help with my selections. (And what an incredible selection from which to choose!) Highly recommend a visit.

This is a store for olive oils, balsamic and other ingredients to add pizazz to your food. The shop has a very specific purpose and it's like any other shop that specializes in these items. However, this one went crazy and combined their ingredients with chocolate. It may sound odd, but fig and balsamic or espresso and balsamic in 70% cacao is really tasty.
I recommend the shop for it's main products, but check out the chocolates while you are there.
