“I am a raving fan of Aldi in general, but this store is my favorite. Their staff is the best. Most of them have been there for years. They are friendly, efficient, and hardworking. I love the smaller store layout. I am in and out with a week’s worth of groceries in less time than I usually spend standing in line at other supermarkets. I don’t have to spend time or brain power deciding what brand and size is the best value. We try to keep our meal planning simple with a limited amount of processed foods, and find that Aldi covers about 95% of our needs. I believe our weekly grocery bill is less than half of what we would spend elsewhere. For best results, join one of the Aldi Aisle of Shame facebook groups. “I dont know. As a local I want to give Latham a million stars. Farming is hard work. And I appreciate the entire Latham family being there! Yes, the view from the farm stand towards Orient Harbor is the best view on the North Fork. But the reality is... it was once a better farm stand, where locals could get pints of fresh berries and tomatoes for cheap. The parking lot was once filled with banged up pick up trucks and Ford and GM sedans. Maybe a Subaru. Now the parking lot is full of Teslas and Rivian pick ups. Not to mention a late model Maserati and vintage Porsche here and there. Vrooooom. And the fresh berries are expensive... Farm stands nowadays are more like Delis. Latham sells a lot of local produce...including their excellent local Oysters! Their corn is the best on the North Fork. But they also sell a lot of veggies and fruits from New Jersey and further. I always ask where the produce is from before whipping out my billfold. They take Venmo for those who don't know what a billfold is. I will always go there for my produce. Because having this version of Latham is better than not having any Latham.”

“My friend and I arrived around 2pm on Wednesday. There was plenty of parking and we were greeted kindly by everyone working there. The U-pick costs $45 for a grocery tote-sized bag (which I think is a steal/great value compared to other U-pick prices along the North Fork). The apple orchards were near the back of the farm, but it was a very scenic drive and the owner shared with us the history of the farm. This was near the end of the season, so there were only two varieties left: Cameo and Ruby Frost. There were plenty of them still on the trees (see the picture) and the Ruby Frost was especially delicious! Overall, the experience was so lovely and I would highly recommend coming here. I've been to Harbes a few times and prefer Wickham's with regards to environment and apple quality!”
