Small Post Office and Understaffed it seems every time I go there. Which is fine...its OK. There is always an older women there with short hair. Positive attitude and pleasant no matter how ignorant, arrogant and/or inpatient people are. SHE IS THE MVP!Also I have had issues with packages in the past not getting there when they should as of lately (understandable consdering the times) and tacking information not being updated on the website. I call the store with tracking info and they go above and beyond calling plants to find out where the package is and calling me back with updates!Staff at this store A++++ lucky to call them my local/home PO.

We have a home in another state and had gone there for the Christmas holiday. We filled out forms for our mail to be temporarily held in the Greenlawn post office. We had planned to stay two weeks, but my husband became ill. In less than two months he was hospitalized three times and had surgery and we couldn't get back to Greenlawn. We still pay a lot of bills by mail and worried about the mail piling up in Greenlawn. I called the Greenlawn post office and they were able to send the mail through priority mail with no charge to us. I had called a few times and every employee I spoke to expressed what seemed to be genuine compassion. Joe, the supervisor, helped me find the best solution and was incredibly kind. I actually cried when I got off the phone because i was so moved that during this nightmarish experience, there was still so much kindness in the world.

To the inconsiderate shopper who decided not to wear a mask 9/8 at 2:30pm and rant about how it’s not necessary: thank you for putting everyone else at risk so you can make some sort of political point. To the woman postal worker who engaged with this woman about her views on not wearing masks INSTEAD of enforcing the rules and making everyone else uncomfortable and unsafe- i hope you will be reprimanded for your lack of concern for your customers.

STAY AWAY FROM GREENLAWN POST OFFICE. I have never posted any review like this before. However, today in the middle of a pandemic, with a sign indicating need for masks on the front entrance, a postal clerk is walking around the post office without a mask needs to addressed. When I asked the clerk why she was not wearing a mask she told me "it's behind the counter" and that she would put it on back there. HOW RIDICULOUS ! She was out with customers and behind the plexiglass she will put a mask on. UGH!Go to Centerport PO so much nicer and better service and safer!

I've had really great experiences here and I've had really bad experiences here. I came in a few weeks back in need of a box for a few gifts I was mailing and the woman behind the counter assisting me walked out onto the floor and assisted me with finding the right sized box, which took a decent amount of time. There were people on the line becoming agitated with the fact that she left the counter to assist me, to which I said it's okay I'll find one on my own and she said to ignore people complaining and that she was doing her job by helping me and I thought this was really cool. She went above and beyond to help me mail out a package and gift that meant a lot to me and I appreciated that. I wish I could remember this woman's name but she is always so kind and helpful and really makes coming here a breeze. Maybe it's just me, but oftentimes I find it confusing which label to grab or which box is appropriate and for the most part the women who work here are really great about answering all of your questions. Additionally, the cost of mailing a package at the US Post Office is significantly less money than it is to mail a gift at Fed Ex or UPS, I mean the costs really don't even compare so when I have to decide whether to send something out USPS or UPS, cost wise, USPS is always the better option. With that being said, I had a really bad experience here last week when I came in to mail back a dress whose company sent me a prepaid shipping label which just so happened to be a USPS label. I came to the Post Office with my box, with my label and with my own tape because I had heard through the grapevine that the post office no longer tapes up your boxes anymore, which is fine. I came to the counter showed the gentleman who I had never seen before my pre-paid shipping label. He scanned it and said, "You need to buy tape" and proceeded to grab tape off of the wall and go to scan it. I stepped in and said that I had already had tape. Then I said, "I didn't tape the box yet because I wasn't sure if you generated any sort of paper that needed to go inside the box." The reason I asked this is because any time I have an Amazon return at UPS, they always have a little slip that goes inside the package and I was not sure if this was the case at the Post Office also. So again I said, "Is there anything that needs to go inside the box before I tape it up?" The guy replies, "It's your box, you should know if anything else goes inside." I was kind of taken back because I had really never experienced rudeness at the post office before, so I taped up the box and then he handed me my shipping label, which was just the printed out paper from my home printer. I asked if he had a sleeve for the label to go inside to protect it, you know from water, snow, anything and he said (I kid you not) "No, we don't do anything with your label, you tape it on and drop it off like everybody else in here does." I said "Since when do you guys not enclose the paper label in a protective sleeve" He said, "Since always, NEXT." Rude. Really rude! I mean really. At UPS, you have to tape up your box but they take your paper return label and put it into a plastic sleeve so that it stays protected. I was really turned off by the experience.

Absolutely useless. Not only did one of the workers leave in the middle of a line, one of my packages CAME BACK TO ME WITH A NOTE SAYING IT HAD NO POSTAGE. I'm sorry, is this a joke? I paid for 6 packages, all of which had 2-3 day shipping, and here we are, 7 days later, with only 3 of those packages reaching their destination and one of them with a note saying no postage. Absolutely useless.

Awful experience. Go to Centerport! Employees are unhappy and treat you terrible. Management leads by a terrible example. Long line out the door and manager just goes to lunch.

This post office needs some new blood, management or something. The employees seem unhappy and are always griping about something. The other day, they only accepted cash. The two employees out front (man & woman) were griping loudly in front of customers). Even though the Centerport Post Office is out of my way, I would rather much go there. I informed the employees at Centerport, that the experience is so much better than the one in Greenlawn. They were not surprised. It was not the first time they heard this.
