was a happy camper too.We had an excellent experience.Two thumbs and two claws up!!!

The entire staff was extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. My rabbit has been suffering from an ear abscess for 2 years and I’ve spent countless dollars and made countless appointments for removal surgeries and draining/cleaning visits with no actual relief. After I brought him here almost 2 months ago for a second opinion, they removed the abscess and it hasn’t come back since. The doctors and nurses were amazing throughout the entire process. Pricing was much more reasonable than i thought it would be, im so glad to have a new regular vet for my bun.

I had a hamster that I am extremely attached to, she is my classroom pet and went back and forth with me to work and she was part of the lives of about 800 students. She was about a year and 7 months old and her health was failing rapidly, it was clearly the end of her life.
When I called Long Island Bird and Exotics they told me they would need to do an examination and would have to charge me for an emergency visit (which I understand, but what kind of person would bring a $20 hamster to get euthanized if they just didn't want it)
When I got there, the receptionist was very nice. The vet tech on the other hand asked me the intake questions and when she asked "when did you first notice signs of her health failing" I told her that it was in September and she said, "well why didn't you bring her here in September?" The judgement was so harsh. This is a hamster with two year lifespan and she's a year and 7 months old. Why would I medically torture my animal to get an extra 3-4 weeks out of her? She then took my hamster away to give her "heat and oxygen"
Then the doctor came in and asked me what I wanted to do, I told her I just wanted her euthanized because she is clearly at the end of her life and I don't want to torture her. She said, "I didn't torture her, I just picked her up and put her back down." Really glad I paid for an emergency vet visit for that to be all that was done because she obviously was at the end of her life. The vet then said, "Well you didn't have to come here, you could have gone to any emergency vet and they would have just done it." Which felt like an insane thing to say. She said she agreed with me that the hamster needed to be euthanized.
I had a great experience when I went there for my ferret. I felt like he was taken care of appropriately. But it was the lack of empathy that really upset me. I understand that she was just a hamster but she meant so much to me and it was really upsetting that we were both treated this way at the end of her life.

Dr. Sands, Isabel and Stephanie were all amazing. Very knowledgeable, welcoming and overall extremely helpful when it came to our baby chameleon Randall. Their meds and remedies worked the first time he was seen here for being constipated, unfortunately months later he was sick again and passed away due to kidney disease. We are not from the area but because of their kindness, and knowledge/ love of exotics, it just made it that much easier and a 30+ minute car ride worth it. Thank you all again for everything you’ve done for Randall! We know just where to go in the event we bring another chameleon or exotics baby home.

I was referred here by my regular vet and I am glad I was. My 7+yo guinea pig was in quickly declining poor health. The vet gave her a complete exam and discussed with me the issues and options. I was never pressured to make any decisions and was given time to absorb all the information. Ultimately, I knew it was time to allow my pet to rest and no longer experience any pain. The entire staff was exceptionally compassionate, supportive and professional. Thank you to everyone who helped me through this difficult day.

Although my little guy’s prognosis wasn’t good, every step of the process was smooth. The staff were sweet and patient. Dr.Lee was passionate, knowledgeable and most importantly kind. She was upfront about his condition and did not try to push me towards unnecessary procedures or costs. She answered all questions I had and was very knowledgeable. I would definitely come here again for any other concerns

I am an experienced bird owner of canaries, and I always prepare myself for the visit in the same way as I was going to any other appointment. My advice is to have your technical questions ready (write them down to save time), bring in photos or videos if you can document your pet's symptoms, and have all the info ready so that when you meet with the Dr you can analyze the data and choose the next step. My experience with the office and Dr. Nicole Sands was exceptional. From the first steps of my engagement with the office, I was able to receive clear, direct, and informative answers to all the questions asked. I was given the opportunity and the ability to choose together with the Dr the right treatment plan for my bird, and we were able to reverse symptoms and accomplish a positive outcome. This office will now be our place to go for all my bird needs. Greetings from Brooklyn, and thank you!

I went to this place to get my tortoises beaks trimmed. One had a very long beak. I had to pay for a checkup before they would do his beak but the checkup consisted of someone just looking at the tortoises but not testing or examining anything. In the end they said the beaks didnt need a trim but one of their beaks was so long he could not eat comfortably. When the tortoises came home their beaks were no shorter then they were to start with and on top of that they charged me for 2 drill bits which cost me more then the grinder I bought when this was over. I will NOT be using this place again. It was a total rip off and now I need to look for another place to trim their beaks which is hard to find. Very unhappy with this place!

The front desk girl was very negative and i felt like she was recommending things that were not necessary to make a profit. Thankfully i was able to treat my bunny at home

The kind souls at LIBEVC are the absolute best. Not only do they do everything in their power to help your babies, they do it so gently and sweetly. I’ve lost two of my frog babies while getting them treatment at LIBEVC and they not only sent me condolence cards but also a hand made portrait of my baby. They go above and beyond for their patients and it is so appreciated!!

I was a bit overwhelmed with the up charges as soon as the doctor walked in the room. But after discussing my feelings The employees and Doctors corrected it. They went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased with the service and I am grateful . They took great care of my rabbit .She is back to her happy healthy self thanks to them.

I would give 10 stars if I could. My frog had an emergency and they were able to squeeze us in that day. The staff were very friendly and accomdating. They also took the time out to explain everything to me and prices for procedures. I felt like they actually cared and did not rush us. I highly recommend. Thank you guys for everything!!!

The staff here are so nice and wonderful , had an exam done for both my bunnies Nina and Fefe , everyone was so kind , the receptionist, the nurse and the doctor, they answered ALL questions I had about my bunnies with no issue, the pricing is very reasonable . I will be coming back to this vet for sure and I will be recommending this vet to other small animal owners !! :) thank you!! 5 star experience ?
