My wife rents all the time from herts.. but this time the girl who attended to my wife was rude and very unprofessional.. other than that the it was okay??cars was clean.

This place felt very mediocre. The people working there even thought they seem to try to be friendly it was like they really didn’t want to be there and it felt almost as if I was bothering them when I walked in. I also rented a midsize SUV and instead got a compact SUV which would have been cheaper.

The Hertz crew didn't let me know how to operate the car. It's my first experience in Tesla. Levering your promotion. So be aware maybe it's not the only one that can go to this issue.

Absolutely DISGUSTING. I wish I got the name of the manager on duty because this was the worst experience ever and i will NEVER be here again nor will my friends. We’re also first time renters:We reserved an electric car a month ago. We got there via uber with all our things and we were working with this wonderful man. We were all learning and asking questions. We tried the card and it got declined. He asked how to change the policy and was told by his manager that “once it’s declined it’s done. We can’t do anything and we’re so booked.” and basically canceled our reservation. Left us stranded there.We ended up getting picked up but went to enterprise who was WAY more kind and transparent and told us if a card declined they’d try a DIFFERENT card. This Hertz picks and chooses who they do business again and I hope it has none because it doesn’t deserve any business. Go to enterprise on the corner down the block, don’t even bother here.

This location is disorganized, incredibly rude, and even management has an attitude and couldn’t care less about their RESERVED customers. You’d think people that have already prebooked months out would be shown some kind of decency. Save the trip and go somewhere else. Location shouldn’t even be open if that’s how they want to treat their customers. Either close or get a grip and get it the hell together and learn how to provide customer service.

Just went into the the Hertz Great-neck Branch to swap out for my approved upgraded vehicle to a larger SUV and had to deal with a very nasty manager (Rowen). I’m having a conversation with one of his employees and he interrupts our conversation without introducing himself and telling me I can’t drop off or rent a vehicle at his branch and I can only go back to the Freeport location.I know this is not the policy of Hertz rental and hoping they can re-educate this manager to better customer service!On the other hand I went back to my current rental location (Freeport Hertz) which is lot further to my home so I can get that upgrade that I was promised and I was met with excellent customer service! They have a team that know how to treat customers!They make sure their customers always leave happy!

This is the worst Hertz location I have ever been too. This lcoation was completley discriminatory against me and my mother. They have made unfounded complaints against us and then later placed us on a dnrl. We tried to go down to the location to gain a better understanding of the situtation and upon arrival the manager Roanoke then proceeded to call police for trying to gain better clarity of the situation. This branch is the last place you would want to rent from, beware they may place you on this list basesd upon unfounded reasoning.

I rented an electric vehicle, only to find out after getting the car that there are no charging stations near the rental site at all. They tell you to bring the car back at a full charge, and when you don't, they charge you $35. I don't know how you are supposed to bring a car back with a full charge when the nearest charger is 15 miles away. The car only gets 260 miles on a full charge, so a 15 mile drive is 6% of the battery capacity minimum.I called Hertz corporate and they told me that the policy is 70% charge or you pay $35. I brought it back at 73% and was still charged the $35. Very upset after finding out this new information. Corporate tried to reach this location to rectify this and refund me, and I was just abruptly hung up on. Extremely disappointed.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!!!! The absolute worst experience ever from a major car rental brand. Wake up Hertz...your people are driving customers away with their rude behavior and antics. Had a 4pm reservation confirmed at a Hertz affiliate location in Glen Cove, NY. I googled the location and business hours are till 4:30pm. I call the location at 4pm advising I am on my way and will be a few minutes late. At first, the affiliate manager says he has no car rental reservations today. Upon confirming my details he then says "oh yeah, but you're late and we are now closed'. What!!!????? You're business hours are till 4:30pm. He says too bad and call the Great Neck main office. So I immediately call and get the manager who claims they tried to call me multiple times today to alert me that the information on the confirmation email is incorrect and to come in earlier. Now a reasonable customer service oriented individual would leave a VM, send a text, or send an email to advise of this when not reaching a person physically by phone...I mean it is 2023 right? But nope, the manager actually stated "I am not obligated to leave a VM, send a text, or an email.....mind you, Hertz has all my contact info from the registration. WOW!!!! Wake up high earning Hertz corporate execs.....you're poor customer service is driving people away! So then I googled Hertz Great Neck, NY....boy o boy don't I wish I did that before renting with Hertz. The last 5 reviews are all 1-star (this will be #6) and the overall rating for the location is 2/5. Save yourself the heartache and rent with National, Avis, or Budget.

i had worst ever car rental experience! i reserved a 7-passenger SUV about 3 weeks ago with this pickup location. when i walked in the office in Great Neck with my luggage and travel plan last Friday, the guy told me the auto's windshield is broken and no car for me, he also informed me it may be available in an hour or two as the repair is undergoing. After I waited for about one hour then the man told me the only car is NOT available until the 24 hours later. this is totally nonsense: first, the office should notify me in advance as early as possible if there is a scheduled repair and no car available; second, they should tell me there is no car available right way when I show up. it ruined my travel plan and i should give zero-star review if i can!

This location is Trash! The customer service here does not exist. They practically force people to purchase insurance coverage and if you get there a few minutes before they close, good luck with getting any service. I am visiting from Florida and this location makes me thank God that I don't have to deal with them on a regular

By far the Worst Hertz, I have done business with! Never again. Customer service is horrible and the manager and Nate are very unprofessional. This location makes up their own rules and regulations when it comes to reserving a Vehicle. The Manager Roan was unavailable and out of the building all day and was unable to speak with me. Lied and stated he would send me his Supervisor number and never received a call. Nate provides you with incorrect information and has no regard for the service that he is suppose to provide. WILL NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN! Location makes you feel like they are racial profiling customers (Be Aware)Called hertz customer service and advised them that originally I picked my vehicle and was given another and I’m tall and uncomfortable driving due to my long legs, called Great neck and was told they have an electric vehicle, I then advised Nate about my health and he then placed me on hold to tell me that I can not swap the vehicle.
