Do not go here, just don't even waste time. I thought the price I was given a Leather Spa in the city 2-: a bit too expensive so I said maybe I'll do something a bit more local and hopefully get a better price. Unfortunately the owner wanted to charge me double what leather spa wanted to charge me he then told me that I was crazy to not pay $500 to fix a $5000 bag, mind you the bag itself is probably about 40 years old and is a vintage Gucci bag that is nowhere near $5000. I told the owner I would be back another day and he told me "keep walking" better yet my friend I will never be back.

I’ve been getting my boots and dress shoes shinned here for the past two years. The shoe shines are pristine. When the owner recommended I change the heels on my $600 To Boot New York formals I was skeptical but the replacement work was beautiful.

I have gone into this shop twice. The owner is rude and dishonest. He wanted me to pay $10.00 for a pair of shoelaces and he told me I needed new heels on shoes that were fine. I would never recommend this store to anyone.

I have been looking for an old world shoe repair person and found this gem. The quality of the work is unsurpassed.

My first time going there and my bag is ruined. It has a weird Odor and they changed the color of the inside by “cleaning” it. There r plenty of other places to go to.

I had the ABSOLUTE worst experience EVER here... I only wish I had read these reviews before dropping my large beige Gucci Soho bag on August 24th to have the strap repaired... Before I go into detail, "Yes!" I know that I should have taken the bag back to Gucci, but I hate going to the mall (Gucci at Roosevelt Field in Bloomingdales) and I go to Lovely Lash (next door) twice a month, so I thought it would be a "quick fix!" On Saturday, August 24th, I dropped my bag off, with a pair of black patten leather "So Jane" Loubitons. I asked that a small piece on my bag's strap be re-stitched and that protective red bottom pads be placed on the bottom of my shoes. I was told it would be ready on Monday, August 26th. I realized I forgot to ask him to stretch my shoes, so I called and asked him to do that. I was told everything would be ready on Friday, August 30th. I informed the owner that I would come on August 31st because I had an eyelash appointment. When I came into the store, my shoes were presented to me. The owner went to the back for a moment- I thought it was to get my bag. He came back to the counter and told me that my bag was stolen out of his store on Wednesday, August 26th, along with another customers' shoes. At first I thought he was joking, but he, his wife, son, and his daughter all stood around me confirming his story. I informed him that it was the last gift that my mother purchased for me (on my birthday in April) before she passed away that same August 2013... There was sentimental value attached to it. I asked him if he filed a police report. He informed me that he called the police but they told him "There was nothing they could do." I asked if he had cameras, he told me "No!" I told him that I was going to call the police myself to report my bag stolen. An officer reported to his repair shop and took my report. He told the officer that he would pay for my bag and he was apologetic, so I remained calm and informed him that I would go get a receipt from the Gucci store , so that he knew that the bag was purchased from there and would have evidence of what was paid--approx. $2,000. He agreed! The Gucci store was ABSOLUTELY amazing and provided me with a copy of the purchase, that same day (Aug. 31st). I called the owner of this shoe repair and informed him that I obtained a copy of the receipt and would return to the store the following week for my money.. Let me just say that I preferred to have the actual bag, because of sentimental value, however, I knew that was a "lost cause!" When I went back on September 6th with the receipt, I informed him that the total cost was $2,059. He then tried to ask me what I was going to charge him for the bag--I told him $2,059. That is what was paid, but the bag is now on eBay for $3,800... I only requested what was paid. He told me that the bag was used, and I informed him of the value. His son had to intervene because now, I was upset--he DID NOT keep his word. He then told me he only had half at that time and I could come back on September 9th to get the check--I told him I was NOT coming back Monday (I live in Suffolk County) and he could "post-date" the check for Monday, September 9th. After prompting and scolding from his son, he agreed. I then asked him, what is a good date to pick up the remaining balance. At first he indicated September 16th. I asked, "Are you sure that's enough time for you?"--he then requested August 20th. I agreed. Today (September 20th) I went to pick up the remaining balance ($1,059). He told me that he was only giving me $1,000. I told him, "That is not what we agreed on two weeks ago!" He restated that was the amount he was writing the check for. I told him to go ahead, as I would simply be taking him to court for the remaining $59.00. He wrote the check for $1,059, then told me that I had someone come into his shop to steal my b

I notice a new owner there since last year. His customer service is very terrible, more precise expression of his manner should be "rude". Today I went there to drop off my shoes for shoe shinning. As soon as I entered, I asked him, "Do you do a shoe shinning service?". He said, "Yes". After checking my shoes, he pointed the heels must be repaired and it would cost $30. I asked him I wanted only shoe shinning service .He said "No" with an attitude. He shows lack of respect to the customer. I don't recommend anybody not even to try there for an inquiry. You would be annoyed with his classless manner!

I want to start by saying that the owner of this store is extremely rude. I brought my husband's leather boots in to get his zipper fixed (we just needed the replacement of the part that you hold to slide up and down, not the entire chain). First he charges $20 for this and when I paid with my debit card he added a tax fee. Then, when I see the shoes the zippers are different from the left and right shoe. I told him it was common sense for the shoes to have identical zippers and then he starts yelling at me that it isn't common sense and tells me to go back to the shoe company if that's the way I want it. Wasn't helpful at all. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. POOR JOB. OVERPRICED. RUDE OWNER.

Dropped off my red heels at George's in January and wasn't in town for several months... just went to check to see if they were still there and they were! Happy that he kept them for me and they are immaculate!

Dropped off a boot to have the heel tap replaced. Apparently, they didn't have the correct size tap and so they cut down my heel to fit the one they had. IDIOTIC!! Ruined my expensive suede boots!! Just tell me you don't have the right size, numbskulls!! If I could rate zero stars I would!!
