Clarifying: this review has nothing to do with your refusal of service to my parents. That is well within your rights and I genuinely respect that right.
But your appointment wasn’t with my parents, it was with me (I had a very pleasant experience with your staff last year). If you don’t want to do business with me either, that’s absolutely fine. But don’t make the appointment. I called two weeks ago and made this appointment with you and everything was fine, apparently. You canceled the night before.
You get one star because you broke a commitment the night before with no recourse. I don’t live in the area and I came in from out of town for this appointment. This was just a waste of my time, effort and money.

There is considerable lack of follow up and follow through with this company. We’ve spent way too much money on a pool and a hot tub with Chaffee’s only to have them not show up for a pool closure appointment and not respond to email, text, voicemails when inquiring when our loose pavers will be fixed and when our new tarp will be delivered which was promised to us last year. It’s quite a disappointment and I do not recommend submitting final payment until every single item is perfect. We even tried multiple times to order a custom safety cover and still Erin doesn’t follow up. Why are you in business if this is how you treat your customers? Great pool and instal- awful follow up service.We had our pool installed during COVID and it is amazing. It’s one of my favorite things. Which is why when it’s not functioning well - it’s upsetting.Chaffee opened my pool for its 2nd time in April. Someone showed up, took the cover off, hooked up some pipes and left. When we checked on it there were errors lights and messages and we weren’t sure what chemicals were added- no note, no explanation, no suggestions. So I called. No one could tell me what happens during the pool opening or what you pay for. I called somewhere between 4 and 10 times each weekend while looking at a green pool I can’t swim in. Got a massive run around- it’s too cold to produce chlorine (still not working at 85 so idk how that’s the issue), someone will be out this week, Jon will personally come by this week, etc. All the while NO ONE ever came or called me back and I still kept getting a bill for the full pool opening amount for a pool that was not fully opened. I finally left a message that shared I would pay for 1/2 the opening bc that’s what I got. Do you think they called me back to make this right? No they did not. Just sent me a bill for 1/2 the amount.I would’ve loved to stay w Chaffee for the life of my pool but I’m not sure how I can, if this is the level of service that’s being provided.

Excellent customer service!!… After leaving a disappointing review due to issues with my pool closing, John called me almost immediately. He was extremely apologetic for the unsatisfactory service and made sure he did everything he could to make it right. John’s response proves that they take pride in their company and quality of work. Thank you again for correcting the issues and I look forward to using Chaffee’s in the future.Service: Winterization

Incredible from start to finish. John and Charlie are an incredible team who create beautiful pools.John was never pushy from day one and was always accommodating. He told us exactly what to expect from the process and made us feel like we were his priority each time we spoke (and still speak while looking for pool care tips).Charlie came and began excavation and worked his tail off all day, everyday. By the end of the build we joked that we felt like we were losing a member of the family when he moved on. A true sign of a great company is how well the employees work under Simone’s leadership. Charlie genuinely cares and loves what he doesn’t and it showed by the effort his crew put forth every day. Each and every man on his crew worked hard through the heat and seemed to really care about what they were doing. Everyone of the build team took care to leave our property as best as they can, considering the toll such a project takes on one’s property.If you’re looking to have a pool installed, do not look anywhere else. Spend the extra money and go with Chaffee! You will not be disappointed!

After meeting with a few of the major pool providers in the area, Chaffee was the clear choice. A lot of pool places seem to be fairly comparable in price for what we needed but what sold it for us was the friendly nature and genuine interest in making our project be the best it could be within our budget.What we did not expect was the “family treatment“ we received throughout the entire process. They were quick to respond and unbelievably helpful at every turn. Even when the project was done and paid for, they are still super helpful with all our new-pool-owner questions and quick to jump on any last minute requests.All said done we feel like we’ve gained new friends down the road versus you’re typical cold business transaction. No seriously, we’re on a first name basis with them.We have and will continue to recommend Chaffee to anyone considering getting a pool or with any existing pool needs.

Jon, Kelly, Charlie and the whole team were great! Our pool tuned out great and the kids are loving it! The paver patio was challenging because of the large pavers we selected, but the Chaffee team installed them quickly with no complaints. Will be sure to share pictures once the landscaping is completed! Could not be happier with their professionalism, responsiveness and the finished product. Worth the wait and money! We reached out to Chaffee's back before the pandemic started but decided to hold off until things made sense for us. We finally scheduled our install last year and were extremely pleased with the professionalism and transparency the team at Chaffee's provided.The design process was straightforward and we didn't feel pressured by upselling. Jon made us feel comfortable with the materials we chose and equipment that was provided. After install, we felt confident in taking care of our new investment but decided to have them come back to help with winterization (went swimmingly - pun intended).All in all, we feel like our money couldn't have been spent better elsewhere. I cannot say enough good things about the Chaffee's crew! Chaffee's installed an in-ground pool, firepit, pavers, patio, and hot tub for us in the fall of 2021 and they did an absolutely beautiful job. They always kept us informed on what was happening and designed our whole backyard for us. Charlie and Jon and the rest of the team couldn't be more friendly and professional and we are grateful for everything they did to make our dream backyard come true. I would recommend them to ANYONE!
