Really cool local shop with a good array of items for sale (card singles/sealed items as well as games spanning over the last few decades). Nice owners/staff. Definitely a must visit spot in the capital region for fellow card/video gamers!

Don’t waste your time bringing items to them for sale or trade. Best offer is 20 cents on the dollar.
Definitely don’t let your kids bring in things to sell or trade because they will rip them off.
Don’t trust this establishment.

Update June 18 2024: I head over to Shroomy's game store regularly for shopping Magic cards and Nintendo games. They also have a wide variety of video games and gaming accessories in stock! Plenty of knowledge too. You can pre-order new games here, too! Shroomy's hosts many tournaments with great prizes for popular games out so check them out and ask in-person.

This is the quintessential video game store. My only complaint is that I didn't have more money to unload here. The staff was the friendliest and even shipped my games to me while I was traveling. I'll use them remotely from my home! I'm so happy I found this ? ?!

Major nostalgia trip. Great service and selection. Very fair trade-in values (esp. if you've been scarred by GameStop in the past). And as a bonus tons of good food options in the area.

Recently decided to sell all of my retro games and consoles and stumbled upon this shop in glenmont. The owner is super chill and knowledgeable and I genuinely enjoyed taking it up with him. Very fair pricing for the retro games I sold and his inventory is more than fairly priced. (Sold a bunch of sega Saturn games and Pokémon cards)
What I loved about this store is the community engagement the owner is doing with meets and tournaments. A lot of retro stores are in the business just to flip things and make a profit but you can genuinely tell this owner cares about his product and the community he’s apart of now. Some big dreams coming to fruition here!
10/10, if I could rate this place higher I would. I will definitely be coming back !
