“This place is amazing! Full of delicious cheeses, meats, cute merchandise, and yummy unique sweets and drinks. The best part though is that the people that work there are absolutely astounding. They are full of so much knowledge about the cheeses they have and they are incredibly helpful and friendly. And I have found so many new delicious cheeses I love as a result. If I did not live over a thousand miles away I would visit this place daily until I have a chance to try everything they offer.”
“Oliver's Beverage in Albany is an in-the-know type booze and wine store. It's best in the summer. The shelves are expertly marked by region and by category. Find German beer, soda, small bottle shooters, whiskey cask beer, French wines, Italian whites, 6 packs, singles and even a fountain (that I have not tried out yet) to fill beer-growlers with that good Winter Lager or IPA. It's a very large shop and it would be nice if there were (it's a Yelp tip Oliver's..) a place for pregnant moms and old folks to sit: inside or outside. The prices are a bit on the higher end but you find oddities and some nifty finds, only here. Pretty good assortment. Review: 5”

They have an outstanding selection of Blanton's many of which are not sold in the US. Prices are competitive and service is great!. “Aside from participating in the restoring of this building from a dry cleaners to what is now a premium winery and liquor spot, it is one of the best in atmosphere and selection. I know when we first completed the brick work the second floor could be rented for private parties although I'm not sure if they are still providing this service. All in all worth a stop if you are in the area!”

“Extremely impressed with the selection and customer service in Friendship Discount. They have everything a well balanced Beverage Mart should have. Huge selection of sizes of the Regular well known beers but also a very impressive offering of exclusive crafts beers also. Employees willing to go above and beyond what is typical and have a great attitude while assisting. Large selection of Cigars and a section of roll your own, as well as Growler fills and redemption on site. They got it all!”

“A nice little wine shop with a great selection of wines! The selection isn’t huge but they make up for that in the quality of what they sell. I don’t know much about wine, so I pick my usual price point, location of the vineyard and then pick whatever bottle looks the coolest. So far I haven’t been disappointed using this process here! “Grapes and Grains is a "neighborhood" liquor and wine store. Although it may not be one of the super big liquor stores, it stocks a huge amt of liquors and wine. Plus the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful. When I go there I know I'm going to find what I want and be treated well as a customer”

“This is by far my favorite liquor store in Upstate NY! Their customer service is top tier. The employees are so knowledgeable about the wines/liquor sold here and they are always willing (and able) to educate me on whatever questions I may have. Whenever I’m confused about what to get, someone will suggest a particular brand and I’m ALWAYS pleased with their recommend. Isiah is the best!! He’s always willing to go above and beyond. “This store has different names depending on where you search. The sign over the door says "Westmere Wine and Spirit." On Google you'll find both "Westmere Wine & Liquor" and "Westmere Liquor Store," and here on Yelp, it's also "Westmere Liquor Store." But they're all the same place, at 1810 Western Avenue. For a relatively small space, it's amazing how much they carry and just how well organized it is. The wines dominate the middle aisles. On the right, you have some New York State wines, and you've also got Asian selections, including a large variety of Sake. On the left, you have your liquors, and these are competitively priced. Plus, given how close it is to my home, it's very convenient for me.”

“I work right next door so it’s very convenientFor me to purchase drinks there. so I always go and spend so much money on drinks, Especially on pay day. Also, they have great wine selections and is very affordable. However, The lady that is always at the front counter, she shouldn’t be there Because she have the most nastiest attitude. Furthermore her customer service really sucks. My philosophy has always been if you don’t like your job, get another one but don’t come to work and be nasty to customers because you’re miserable. Every time I go in there and ask her for directions on Where to find what I’m looking for she’s always so rude and aggressive with her directions But yet I kept going back because like I said before it’s convenient. But yesterday I had it with her and I had to tell her my piece of mind. Don’t go here guys it’s not worth it they don’t appreciate your business and in my opinion the owner should give lessons on better customer service.”
