“I always feel welcome, a most see if you like reading and theatre. This is a wonderful place to grab a drink and a pastry and enjoy a good read. People are kind and creative, artistic vibes of artists that live and wanna make it in the city. The brewed coffee is not my favorite but there is a variety of options.”

“This is a must stop for us every time we come to NYC! Beautiful shop in the middle of Manhattan that kept the cozy feel of an old used bookstore while everything around it grew larger than life. They tout 18 miles of books, and while I certainly am not about to measure that, I imagine the truth of the statement as it has 3 floors of books packed to each ceiling.Great vibe, great books, great everything. You can’t miss this place!”

“They have different kind of different topic and Sudject. From history to friction non friction literature. And even controversial budget when it came to also religious belief”

“Fantastic independent children's book store! Their selection is great, with plenty of standards as well as less common titles and many local authors. The staff is super helpful, has in depth knowledge of the inventory and offers suggestions based on reading preferences. Also have many older and first addition books and collectibles.”

“An unbelievable gastronomic wonderland!! A local gem that needs to be experienced to be believed…what they do is akin culinary alchemy…fusing ingredients in new and tantalizing ways, such as salmon arancini and a delectable focaccia sammy stuffed with greens, ricotta and these marvelous tiny yet crunchy mushrooms (just naming only two of the amazing concoctions I’ve personally sampled amidst a myriad of other incredible offerings!!)…you’ll “umm” and “ooo” with every bite!! Their chief “Wizardress” Paige brings a level of artistry you don’t often see on a “storefront” level and it’s yet another great NYC institution that needs to be patronized and supported lest our fair Gotham degenerates into a massive “Panera-bucks”!! And, oh, they have ethereal baked goods, other yummies, hard to find cookbooks, events, cooking classes, good vibes, nice folks and MORE!!! Go visit this veritable Garden of Epicurean Delights…you’ll feel renewed as a sentient being!!!”

They also write out descriptions of their favorite picks, so you can browse those to find things that you might enjoy. The vibe here is welcoming, calm, and cozy.”

“I grew up in washington heights and I would love to know what year this place opened? I would pass it a lot and never think to go inside. It's a good quality book store. There's a small section of manga. I love that my community has access to books!”

“Love your products! Great variety and does a great job to connect you to your Jewish roots!! And great customer service if you need !! What a great website!!! Thank you!!!”

“A wonderful selection of unique books, zines, and art. These books very much fit within the “art book” category, with some opening up from a cover made of cardboard into an accordion binding, while others consist of maze-like infrastructures that make the contents complimentary to the art of the binding itself. They have beautiful prints in the back, with some for sale. And a wonderful little “book machine” that gets you a sweet little bobble that holds a mini zine! I highly recommend adding this place to your to-go list if you’re new to the area or just stopping through.”
