This is the worse company I have ever dealt with. I ended up getting with a much better company so I wanted them to get my tanks, took almost two years. Started out with 30% left in my tanks by the time they picked them up they were at 25%. Now I’m trying to find out where my money is after $1 a gallon restock fee. I payed ahead a couple years ago to hold price, had $199 not used was told they had to use that money to order gas, so they got to sell it twice. They will rip you off any way they can. If I could give them negatives I would. Beware, before you sign up with them do your research, talk to other people you will find many who have been ripped off by them.

I worked with very friendly and knowledgeable staff to start my propane service running again. Everyone was so nice and helpful. It's always nice to speak with a real person and I was able to do that, too. Great job Suburban Propane!

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I have been fighting with this company since November 11, I paid my security deposit, was told they would be out December 5th, come to find out the lady never even put me on the schedule and that i would have to pay my rent fee on my tanks… tanks I NEVER got…so finally after a week of phone tag when these guys and driving out of my way to Watertown to take care of this in person I finally get it set up again, Just to get another call the day before delivery that they were canceling Friday and coming Thursday instead of Friday due to the tech guy having something pop up. I explained to them prior that no one would be home Thursday and that Fridays are best because I am off. I get things pop up, but every single time I set something up it’s one thing after another, yet when I was in the office they had no issues setting things up the same day with other customers… It’s the middle of winter I shouldn’t of had to fight this hard to get a date scheduled to get my tanks installed so I can get heat in my house….i get they’re “short staffed” but this is beyond ridiculous. Canceled my service with this company demanded a refund for all my money they have and took my services else where…. Do better.

Many many complaints after 17 years. Many times they have waited to fill my fuel oil (despite the fact that I was always on a budget plan with automatic delivery) until I was running low and had to call many times. Currently I’m waiting for them to pick up my propane tank from a house I sold in August! I call every month and I’m told they are short staffed. Meanwhile the new owners are using my propane that I am supposed to be reimbursed for. Everytime I call they are rude and don’t give me any resolution besides that they are picking up the tanks as quickly as they can

Highest price around, services were needed for repair, charges quoted were not same as charged, charged more, then over 2 weeks and 10 phone calls, still not fixed. Always told short staffed and new employees.

Insane how many horrible reviews there are and they still haven’t fixed a single issue. Worst fuel company I’ve ever dealt with, from horrible prices, to them telling their driver to fill my tank up without even letting me know I was approved for financing and at what price, to them saying 7-10 days to inspect my tank and a driver showing up unannounced at 8 AM the morning after they said 7-10 days and me not being home. Horrible customer service reps who have no idea what they’re even talking about, asking if I have a 1 1/2 in diameter intake pipe on my tank. And the “supervisor” who says “oh sorry, they’re new girls” and not doing anything else about it. I could go on but I’ll probably run out of room. Bottom line, don’t go with Suburban, they couldn’t care less

If I could post a zero stars review I would! They overcharge elderly for propane which is double the price of an average gallon of propane from any other company. They will argue it's for their outstanding service, but recently my grandfather had a hard time even getting them to deliver when he was low on fuel. I hope we finally got him convinced to switch this summer after being a customer for 40 years! FYI my grandfather recently paid over $6 per gallon when everyone else charging around $3. I am paying 1.89 from MX fuels.

This company has been one terrible excuse after another. Ran me out of propane in years past on the “auto fill” program. Terribly installed regulator letting water inside to freeze and leave my house cold in past years. Ran me out of propane again in January, now out again. Both on auto fill. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. I tried to be loyal, and it got me nothing but cold. Called this morning at 810am, here it is 1pm and not a delivery yet. Once again this company has cost me another days lost wages waiting on a delivery on their “auto fill” program. This Place is a joke. Never, ever, ever again.

They are thieves and they have you sign paperwork that you were told that is was supposed you for a completed work order. They want to change me $195+ early termination fee and $1.00 per gallon restocking fee. How is this fair. And this isn’t the first time I’ve had a problem with this company, i had to call them on 3 different occasions to come and fill my tanks. I should have never gone with them! All I want is what is owed to me. These tanks have been setting in front yard for over a month.

After decades of using this company I decided to save money and switch companise. With a savings of 90 cents a gallon and 2.00 a gallon for kerosene it was a nobrainer. Their tank sat in my front yard for 3 weeks after notifying them to come get it. Even then it took the threat of charging them storage. Within a hour they were there and pick it up. Now I have a dead spot in my lawn where their tank had sat for a excessive time. Then I was informed there would be a 1.00 dollar a gallon restocking fee. What a joke after 41 years of paying their high prices The Office Manager didn't even try to compromise!!!! Don't do business with a company like this that doesn't appreciate loyalty for all those years

Customer Service Associate, Mary Lou, took awesome care of me yesterday when I ran out of propane. A delivery truck was here in about an hour, tanks filled and the delivery driver (I wish I knew his name) even got the furnace running again while putting up with my overly excited 120# chocolate lab. Thank you, Mary Lou, for your courteous service!!! And thank you to the driver for taking the time to make sure we would have heat. You were the best!!! I’ve had Suburban for many years and never run out of propane before. I guess I used more than normal during the recent cold snap. Thank you again, Suburban, for promptly taking care of the issue. I truly appreciate it.
