“Store Space Self Storage was highly recommended by my mover, Movin’ & Removin’, who introduced me to Nick and Jackie for my immediate storage needs. Nick was very accommodating and professional. Later I met Jackie, who displayed the same professionalism and was very knowledgeable. They both know that moving is always stressful and emotional, so they helped to make it a more positive experience.
The largest unit was sold out, but Nick was able to find two of the next size units near each other. I appreciated his ability to figure out a creative solution without just saying that my needs couldn’t be met. He was calm, patient and supportive when I was overwhelmed. Additionally, he took the time to explain all the details and fees.
The issues I have with the company is that they prorate your move ‘in’; however, not for the move ‘out’. If you move at the beginning of the month then you pay for the entire month anyway. Also, I understand that there is an administrative fee of $30, but I think it is excessive that it is added to each rental unit. I acknowledge that these are corporate policies and not Nick or Jackie’s decision.
People are quick to complain, but I wanted to take the time to compliment. I hope that management will recognize and commend Nick & Jackie (and maybe at some point adjust their policies) for going above and beyond expectations! I look forward to continuing to work with them and referring the facility.”
“Great service, i did not realize that my unit was on top and i had to use a step ladder. Was a bit freaked. They immed changed it for me, walked me around to find a unit that made me comfortable, ensured all the doors, elevators etc were good, even called me after to ensure all was ok.The place was immaculate! Smelled clean and fresh and the location was easy.5 plus stars!!”

“Great! Clean!!!There was flooding on the first floor during the 20 year storm so I would recommend asking for 2nd floor or above just in case but other than that it was perfect!Bonnie is amazing!!! And worked with us to make sure our belongings were moved to the 2nd floor asap so they did not get damaged.”

“Keila of Public Storage Hicksville Long Island NY was always behind the counter whenever we went there and ready to help whether it was providing us a key to use a cart or giving us access to a bathroom or selling us boxes and packing supplies. Keila must never have a day off! She’s always there. Anyway, we would have given 5 stars as the storage place is neat and clean, except we just moved out a day into a new month and learned they won’t prorate per day and we’re going to get charged for another whole for a storage space that is empty!! Really? After 7 years of paying on time each month? Really? Hello, can someone at Public Storage Corporate office look into this matter, please?”

“The Westy’s in new Hyde Park is excellence bar none! The staff, starting with Alicia, the assistant Director, as well as Maria are always so pleasant and helpful. They keep the premises so clean, including the bathrooms! I have been using this facility for numerous years and it is in the same condition now as when I first began storing my items here. Additionally, the clientele that frequent this storage facility are equally considerate regarding the usage of carts of which there are over 15. I wholeheartedly recommend you use this Westy’s for your storage needs!!!”
